Floyd's a hypocrite, we know that. And so are some of his fans who are now justifying catchweight fights.

But sod it. It's only two pounds. Hopefully Canelo makes it ok.

floyd has a belt that he won against a blown up welter - canelo isn't, he walked in against trout almost as a LHW

remember, floyd started at 130 - canelo was 171 fighting trout - that's less than 10 lbs shy of what ward was WALKING IN against dawson

if you want floyd to fight bigger and bigger men, then the catchweight is 100% necessary
nobody thinks floyd's 154 is legit, he took the fight to say 'i got another belt in another weight category' - just like pac - margarito

It makes Floyd a huge hypocrite - Pacquiao came up from 1 fight at 140 to challlenge a 147 champion. Floyd IS a 2 time JMW champion and is making another JMW fight at a catchweight.

So Cotto was indeed a 154 cherrypick - thanks for clarifying

This simply means no ***** EVER gets to detract from Pac ever again.
This makes them look like gigantic hypocritical ******s.

People really need to stop overanalysing and realise the Pacquiao-Cotto and Mayweather-Canelo catchweights are very much the same.

Both boxers moving back up to the higher weight class asking for their opponent to drop an extra 2 pounds because they themselves want to be comfortable facing the bigger man. Pacquiao wasn't sure against Cotto, Mayweather isn't sure against Canelo. This is why the catchweights are in place.

You never know until fight night really.

And then its always hard to say whether it was the weight or the opponent that made them look ****.

Pac gets stick for Cotto, but cotto looked great against pac.

    Dawson looked shocking against Ward

    Oscar against Pac.

So its always hard to say. We'll no more on fight night.

Seriously, logic doesn't factor into these idiots! They will justify it to themselves somehow - I've already heard about Cotto having personal problems when he fought Pacquiao so that's why it was different - these guys will find a way of kidding themselves

    :good

Some are already on the defensive.

I seen Turbotime arguing already "Yeah but its not as bad as Manny's. He has 2 catchweights, floyd only has one etc etc."

    Haha - Losers

Just accept you were wrong to discredit pac or stick to your guns and abuse your hero for putting in a catchweight.

Cotto was great in the first 5 rounds, you just have to look at Pacquiao's face and the massive bandage on his face after the fight to see he was hurt, but no no - Cotto was drained. But Canelo won't be, Floyd rules!!!

floyd started at 130, he's not going to fight full blown 154 lb'ers at 154
if you think moving up to fight cotto was a cherrypick then i'd like to hear who you think he should have been fighting

I clearly said I dislike the catchweight so that to me is a non issue, as far as excuse go getting your ass beat back to back before going into one of your biggest's fight's all the while have the mental strain of your fathers death are pretty good excuses. I don't even like Cotto but jesus people are given Pacquiao a pass against what should be an easy win vs Rios becuase it's a confidence booster after getting KO'd but Cotto gets beat badly by Margo has a bs fight against Jennings and looks badly against Clottey all the while going through losing his father and he's in perfect condition
