You haven't a leg to stand on. Canelo said he can make 152, and if Mayweather really wanted to hamstring Canelo in regard to weight, he would've stipulated a rehydration clause or a same-day weigh-in.

When floyd fought Cotto, he said that he was an undefeated fighter, that his loss to Manny Pac didn't count because of the catchweight.

That being the case, if Floyd beats Alvarez at a Catchweight, will it count or will Alvarez still be undefeated.

Good point. Mayweather's implementing the type of catchweight that encourages Canelo to come at a weight where he'll be at its sharpest. Other fighters don't do that. They implemenet their catchweights to drain them.

Well, I hate to get into a basic math argument with someone, but, losing seven lbs. is different than losing two. And, the Dawson fight wasn't a catch weight fight; Chad dropped down to Andre's div. Big difference.

for the record, i'm happy the fights been made.

But i just love ripping *****s and floyd himself. They've spent 2 years giving **** to Pac for putting in a catchweight against cotto. And now he's gone and done the same thing.

They deserve the **** they will get for this.

    Stupid ******* don't know **** about catchweights.

As Miguel in another thread pointed out, this catchweight that Floyd is implementing is a different type of catchweight. He's encouraging Canelo to come in two pounds lighter so the silly ginger bread boy doesn't blow up to 170+ and look slow and lethargic. He'll be lighter, sharper and in the best condition he's ever been because of Floyd.

And if it really mattered to Floyd so much, why not ask for a same-day weigh-in?

Floyd should have just insisted fight take place at 147. Sounds like that would have been more accepted around here.

I like this fight its the best fight that could be made so Floyd and canelo deserve credit and its only 2 lbs so I don't think it makes a big difference just like the 2 lbs didn't make a difference in the Pac vs cotto fight hope Pac beats Rios an fights the winner of this fight but that's very very unlikely would be good tho but were can all be happy we have three great fights this year Floyd vs canelo Pac vs Rios and marquez vs Bradley its gonna be a good year

Of course it will count. It barely makes Floyd's top 5 or 6 wins but it will count as one.
