I bash him for fighting Margarito for a "vacant title" in the first place. End of discussion. Everything else, including the 150 catch weight, is really a non-factor. It was a farce of a "title fight." That is why I bash it.

Margarito had clearly never done anything in his career at 154, and had no reason to be ranked there. It was a blatant display of boxing corruption. That is why I bash it.

I'd be far more lenient on it if it was just a "fight at 150." Ok, who gives a ****. When people start talking about how it's his Xth weight class title and ****, that's just bull****. It was a manufactured title from a guy who never did **** in the division.

Cotto fight was at 154, and Cotto actually won a title by beating a champion at the weight. Cotto has accomplished more at 154 than Margarito. Fact. Nobody claimed him to be an amazing monster.

Yep. Again, didn't understand why a title fight has a catch weight. I've never been in favor of catch weights for titles under ANY circumstances.

Have *****'s become so defensive that they can't even find the humor that Mayweather had just made a huge deal about "not draining fighters" and fighting them at the weight they are most comfortable at and then wanting Canelo of all people at a catch weight for a unification fight? After all the **** Pac get's for it, you would think that the same thing would be happening. Instead, the *****'s are out in full force trying to save face.

 

A Catch weight is a catch weight. All the same.
