Have to be honest Laz, I thought Khan was a splendid young fellow until he disappeared up his own arse after Prescott.

In fact,I'd say that there's not another fighter who I went from liking so much,to finding so annoying.

 

personally I think carl does believe these things he has been saying , but he is saying it now to keep himself relevant after his big win

but I guess his truce with froch is over

Froch is getting credit for something Joe wasnt prepared to do. Yes Joe is a better fighter, but Froch has done far more than "stay at home" Joe ever did.

He is probably looking back on his career with a tinge of regret now.

 

Carl is much much much more up his arse than Khan ever has been. You're saying how Froch is 'trolling' but anyone else would have been called every name under the sun. Froch deserves the stick he's getting by other boxers, because they understand how his ego is ridiculously out of control. He's coming across as more of a **** as he ever has and this is an attitude he's carried way before the success he's having.

 

Here i have to agree, i liked Khan but he started opening his gob too much and letting minorities cloud his judgement, which then went on too offend the majority

Funny how Enzo discredits Taylor for being a middleweight who nearly beat Froch. If that's the case then Hopkins was also just a middleweight (fighting two divisions above the weight, not one like Taylor), was 43 years old, had already lost twice to the aforementioned Taylor and many people think this 43-year-old middleweight beat Calzaghe.

When Joe and Enzo start going down the path of picking apart Froch's opponents they are only digging a hole for themselves really.

 

Carl is just making up for lost time. There was a time when nobody gave a **** about him so now he has the limelight he is going to enjoy it. (who can blame him?)

Because of that i am prepared to give him a pass but i do wish he'd reign it in a little bit.

It's nothing to do with what you back up or not. Amir never has claimed such a thing in his life. Froch's comments are still astoundingly delusional and offensive. Success or 'backing it up' has nothing to do with it.

Again, it's not about making up for lost time. The success he's getting he deserves, but when you make remarks of thinking you're in control of where and when you fight someone who beat you (Ward), label yourself amongst one of the best boxers we've ever produced (Lennox) and categorise yourself and the only other boxer you acknowledge as the two best the UK has supposedly ever produced, then you open up yourself massively for abuse. It's not about giving passes or letting it go, no matter how much success you have, comments like that are not needed and scream a massive ego and a blistering amount of arrogance.

 

Laz froch gets the same amount of **** on this forum than khan,if not more,just as many pricks hate him as khan :deal

 

Froch shows his true colours, he has no class unlike Calzaghe so nothing new here. The guy HATES it that Calzaghe beat a prime Kessler and that will always haunt his massive insecurities. He knows deep down that Joe was greater and would have destroyed him for 12 long rounds had they fought.

He really should be counting his lucky stars every day that he came around 2 years too late to avoid an ass kicking by Calzaghe. It's meant he's had a nice prolonged career instead.

 

That he's the best Brit of all time along with Lennox Lewis maybe? Just think about that nonsense statement for one minute.
