cotto is a come forward boxer that pressures you..... canelo doesn't come forward... he fights in the center of the ring and beats you with his jab and counter punching

He has a chance, but in my opinion his team should have waited another year. Time is working in his favor, and he'd have a much better chance at an older Mayweather in May 2013 or September 2014 (especially if Alvarez stepped up to Middleweight during that time and relieved someone like Quillin of his belt, in which case Mayweather might well have chased him up to a catchweight of 155 or 156 to try and be a 6-division champ.) Alvarez would have been best off taking his time and gathering more experience/working on his conditioning for longer, but props to him for taking the fight now, and at a catchweight to boot.

The only way to beat Floyd isn't by some grinding in your face fight that will lead to a decision victory, it''s by knocking him out.

Now when I say knocking him out i dont mean by multiple punches, because you can't land effective combinations on him, no one ever has.
The knockout has to come with one huge, perfectly timed crisp haymaker :smoke I'm not sure if Canelo has that kind of power.

Mosley had the right idea, shame he didn't have the power to do him in.

He definitely stand more than a chance. He's a naturally bigger guy than Floyd. Canelo is constantly draining himself to make 154 lbs and that probably has something to do with his shitty stamina[He shouldn't even be fighting at that weight class imo]. He's a thunderous power puncher who likes to throw sharp combos, and he'll have a 15+ lbs advantage on fight night.

the way to best him is the way Duran beat Leonard, the way frazier beat ali

this thirsty alvarez cant keep that momentum at the moment after dropping 20lbs at the weigh in, now he has to drop even more

    drained as hell
