Tony needs to move up a weight he looks to thin. I think most people on here would agree. Only people that knows about boxing reply.

Well we all know he fought in the amateurs at HW but he says he can make LHW without a massive struggle when given a proper camp.

He does look gaunt in the face when he steps in the ring, but that could just be him... being honest when I've seen him away from camp he has that look about him anyway.

Although he looks a bit gaunt, he never looks like he's had to boil down to light heavy. I don't think he should move up to cruiser, I'm not sure he'd be strong enough, and he won't hit hard enough. Tony himself would no doubt think he would hit as hard as David Haye, but he's not the puncher he thinks he is.

Same problem enzo mack had (to big for l heavy to small for cruiser), there should be a weight division between l heavy and cruiser, especially when you think of so many divisions lower down with piddly little 4-5lb differences.

The jump from s middle to l heavy is 7lb and l heavy to cruiser is 25lbs. Mental

Cleverly woll have the same problem as he gets older.

If he hits the weights and get stronger he can hit hard enough. But to me he looks skinny at light heavy!

  9. His punching power certainly isn't as venemous as it once was although he has moved up in class
Also he has a good engine so I don't think he suffers from weight issues as such

It would be an interesting experiment though,if he could keep a reasonable ranking there is a lot of European cruisers but and this is where it lies he would be average sized cruiser and would be likely outmuscled and outpowered

just look at the guys. most of them have more power and are bigger. I have a question why is Bellew fighting at LHW? Because he has a big advantage there! And this is size! He wont have this at cruiserweight. Also Bellew has not the skills to keep guys like Arslan, Huck, Jones, Lebedev at bay.

Look at the size of Huck, Lebedev, Hernandez all the top cruisers compared to Bellew in terms of shoulders, arms, back, legs. Look at David Haye when he was a cruiser.

Bellews whole style is based in him being the bigger man. Remember he is not moving up 7-8lbs like every other division. Its 25lbs.

You can't just hit the weights and eat more and gain 25lbs of muscle. It will take at least a year for Bellew to become effective at 200lbs.

  14. Also considering he has fought at a high level in amateur and professional, has a experienced team around him and uses evertons state of the art facilities you have to conclude that they are correct in the weight class he is currently in

If he went up in weight he would be stronger but also more vulnerable, the cruiser weight division is underrated by many on here I noticed

There is nothing more to say. His teams and especially he knows what is best for him. I think it is good that he fight at LHW. There he is always he bigger man.
At Cruiser it would be very hard to be a serious contender. And you are right the cruiserweight division has good fighters and good fights.
