If and when Canelo beats Mayweather in Sept. I will consider Canelo a better fighter. I would go as far as saying that Canelo would easily beat Mayweather's opposition at 147 and 154 with only Oscar giving him some diificulties. If Canelo beats Mayweather do you agree he is a better fighter, and if he fights Mayweather type opposition the rest of his career, will he and can he be ranked as high if not higher than Floyd since he will have many more fights?
Talking like Mayweather type opposition will just be sitting around for Canelo,this is a one in a generation type fighter Canelo is about to face,this is a great chance for the kid.
He's really got nothing to lose either. He's going to have to push himself beyond his limitations to win, though.
DLH fought and beat better opposition, Canelos career is just getting started and so far he is following the same path, while Floyd will be remembered more for not fighting any of the live threats while they were threats.
What about size, only reason this fight is interesting is due to Canelo's size, not his supreme skill - its best floyd takes it now, because a year from now, floyd will be older and canelo would be better, he is improving every fight.
Canelo is the naturally larger man I hope he would beat Judah or Hatton. You're out of your mind if you think Canelo is more skilled and more complete than PBF is. I would bet anything that Canelo won't have near the career of PBF and will lose within 2 years if he somehow manages to beat PBF. There's a host of fighters at 160 that I would pick to beat him and Lara probably beats him at 154.
