CAnelo isnt Whitaker(Trout made him to look like that few times:D), he needs to go to the body and i wrote he needs to make Floyd move but chess match is more of pure boxing match that what you are talking about, i dont know how you imagine Canelo can fake Floyd exactly what you said Floyd had seen it all so he aint going to fall on Canelos faints.
First this Floyd isnt on level he was years ago when he fought Delahoya and CAstillo and Canelo brings more power and size, he cant wait for Floyd. If one guy will land counters here it is going to be Floyd or you guys think Canelo has better timing and countepunching, who makes more mistakes Canelo does, i just dont see Canelo with one good win being able to open Floyd with faints and outsmart him, because for what you are talking he needs to outsmart Floyd NO WAY! FLoyd UD!

Well i wrote it use pressure and yes use his size, not as you wrote Wlad style(clinching), as i see it best way for Canelo is to attack the body and pressure Floyd so he moves and moves from first round, Floyd doesnt have power to hurt Canelo and if he doesnt pressure Floyd he has no chance at all, but Floyd aint open for counters at all, and Canelo isnt fast enough to counter Floyd, Floyd is the one that will land and make Canelo miss not other way around!

Defense first taking away Mayweather's offense is why those guys had success. Castillo was smart with his pressure defended well and picked his spots. Mayweather wasn't able to just T off on him. Hoya did well picking off Mayweather's shots with his gloves while using the jab. Cotto did well taking away Mayweather's over hand right and used the jab.

Canelo is going to need to do some of the same and find a way to take away Mayweather's offense first and pick his spot second. But even so Mayweather is so skilled, adaptable and versatile that he can find a way to exploit any weakness that Canelo presents.

Canelo can not play chess with a chess grandmaster like PBF. He doesn't have the IQ to do it. He also doesn't have a prayer if he thinks he can outbox PBF. He has the shorter arms lesser timing slower hand speed and poorer footwork. PBF will control this fight from the outside with his jab to the body and setting up his pull counter and right hands and be goe before Canelo can react he will turn him all night. It will be Canelo who gets the boxing lesson here. PBF UD:deal

Could have is the key.... and Just because one could have does not mean Floyd will....

No chess match. Canelo is basically too slow and too stupid. Canelo will be reduced to the role of a catcher. His face will be a glove.

Maybe, but I'm not commenting on the outcome, but on the style it will go down.

Are you kidding me??? On what basis do you make this assumption??? The cotto that Floyd fought would have been k.od by Canelo.

Its easy to look good when you are fighting guys with no defensive skills and are limited such as floyds recent opposition.

Floyd is overrated by a mas PR campaign in which ignorant and ethnocentric black people buy the juice.

    Kinda sad really.

Canelo throws combbinations like Roy Jones jr. But he has better defense then Roy.

Canelo is fast to and gallops forward to get you within range and gallops back two steps to keep you outta range just to gallop back into range with his own shot.

Floyd will be getting worked in this fight, I think they both will learn from each other.

whats stupid is using the canelo/trout fight as any sort of premise for canelo/Floyd.

for the nuthuggers that don't understand the sport, trout had to change from a disciplined fighter to a reckless fighter once he realized after round four that there was no way possible that he was going to win a decision...as anyone without pink-****-in-the-mouth could clearly see that the fight was even or trout was winning. Austin fought outside of his comfort zone and if he is not caught in the seventh round he is robbed of his win(I cant see how anyone thought canelito was winning after six rounds).

that being said, you cant use canelitos performance against trout as any sort of barometer because saul was coasting as he knew that the judges had and were doing their job...to rob trout of any sort of chance of winning on the cards(Stanley christodoulous scores was one of the worst ive seen in recent times and was reeked of fraud).

this is not going to happen with Floyd as mayweather is the house fighter with the six-fight contract so canelo will be the one on the wrong side of the trade.

canelo nuthuggers are quick to forget how average, how small canelito looked against trout going into the seventh round...a fight that alvarez was somehow dominating on the scorecards that changed austins game plan.

    @Quincy K

I don't ust the Trout fight at all to conduct an outcome of THIS fight.

I look at the Canelo vs Hatton, Canelo vs Lopez, Canelo vs Mosley fight if I want to see the combinations and tricks to getting combinations off that Canelo is capable of.

Trout was a taller rangier southpaw fight against Canelo, so Canelo had to try and figure him out. Mayweather is about the same height as Canelo so Canelo won't have to fight "upward" against the mobile Floyd.

I'm pretty sure Floyds six fight contract has some fine print in it, this is business and some of ya'll act like Floyd is such a "boss" that networks will bow down to him. He had to take this fight sooner than later.
