I've noticed that Canelo's way of parrying and catching shots leaves him vulnerable to feints and set-up punches. Like you said, some jabs to the body and some feints will lead to Canelo dropping his hands or over-reacting and subsequently being nailed down the pipe. He's going to be real flustered and confused in there.

Fine game plan but the problem is canelo isnt as easy to hit as one may think. How's Floyd gonna deal with the great head movement? Lots of questions. Not an easy prediction.

Adopting the Trout strategy? Canelo was uncomfortable with the pace and was on his back foot against a guy with inferior power. Trout had a great gameplan, but just fought in the wrong state against the wrong promoter.

Trout outlanded Canelo in almost every round...if not all of them.

Canelo will. I'll give Canelo landing 3-punch combinations max before Floyd blocks or evade them.

He has this Cotto like move where he'll leave his left hand out there extended in order to impede an opponent from getting close enough to land.

Go to the body early. Use the dares of the straight shots downstairs to set up straight punches upstairs.

Yep. Floyd's offense is much better than Trout's.

    Based on Compubox?

Canelo landed the much cleaner, more effective shots. Trout can have those pity-pat jabs he threw.

A high output is a good strategy.

Better combo punchers than Canelo have failed to do this JMM being one of them. You're overrating Canelo's ability if you think he can land a 3punch combo on PBF. I would bet that he couldn't.

It is. Couple that with the still present movement, and worlds better defense than Trout. Canelo may look lost for large stretches of the fight.
