So is Frampton's move to ****** a one off or is there more to come?

Kind of shocked by the news today. Could this be the start of a lot of fighters jumping ship to ****** or is this a one off?

I think this will be a one off - more to do with McGuigan by the sounds of it.

One off, not many fighters have a big enough fan base to demand the kind of deal team frampton have gone for.

Tell me if I'm being stupid but fighting on sky sports should be the biggest thing for a fighter in the UK. Who wants to be on Boxnation really?

They're following the money, why cut Hearn in when you can sell out Belfast without his help.

Think how Billy Joe Saunders feels. Has he just been told that he's boxing Gary O'Sullivan - unbeaten, dangerous but virtually unknown for XX amount - instead of Ryder in a high profile bout on Sky for the best part of £60K with the guarantee of getting paid? No wonder he wasn't at the press conference today.

Viewing figures for Sky and BoxNation are about the same. Although Sky can attract the casual fans who watch other sports. Sky also have other platforms.

I would say that if Five actually promoted the shows then fighting on Five would be a pretty big deal. That said, clearly Hennessey doesn't pay Hearn's money. Sky Sports is probably the best of both worlds between exposure and cash.

It's the fighter that attracts the viewers not the channel.

More people will watch Price v Thompson 2 than Darren Barker's last fight.

BoxNation is becoming well established and people are willing to subscribe to watch their favourite favourite fighter. Besides, many people subscribe to BoxNation who don't have Sky Sports.
