It's classic stuff - you couldn't find a more hypocritical group of sport fanboys than *****s - hilarious double standards!

Who came up with reasons why its different? You try and take my words and troll. That's fine kid. Fact of the matter is I have no problem with Manny or Floyd fighting at a catchweight with guys way bigger than them.

I also gave you a reason why someone could take digs at Manny and it was bc of Roach popping off at the mouth and clearly stating that they want to drain a guy and make him work extra hard so they have the advantage or no fight.

You try to take those words as an excuse to defend Floyd when I have no problem with either guy having a catchweight fight. :deal

In answer to who came up reasons why its diferant? Just check the 1st page on this thread. I've listed 10 reasons i've heard so far as to why certain fans think its differant.

Sweet D-Willy: Floyd is a natural 154-pounder, so he's draining himself too.

    Floyd: Canelo requested the catchweight.

It's not really a fair comparison. Pac had 1 fight at 135 when he went up to fight DLH, who was unranked at welter. He didn't gain a belt, nor did anyone think he's a legit welter, him included.

Floyd OTOH let us all know he's the #1 ranked 2x SWW champ, holding on to the WBA Super belt right now. And they're contesting for 4 belts, including the lineal one. How can you have a lineal CW that won't fight guys at the full weight?

I don't give a **** as to what MVC or any other guy says. Its no different than any other catchweight agreement in the history of the sport and anyone who bashes Manny but not Floyd is a hypocrite which proves my point that all this **** between tards and *****s is just childish one up on you **** talk. Nobody has to defend Manny or Floyd for a catchweight fight. If that is how the bigger and smaller guy get the fight done then so be it. I am just glad this fight is happening.

Hell I even thought Floyd would never mess around with the 154 division and would say 147 is where he is fighting, until someone said he himself wanted to defend there.

I do agree with this, but lets not get into this. Lets keep this thread about funny excuses as to why floyd can make catchweight demands but manny can't please.

    Otherwise this could spiral

Catchweights suck and have no place in current boxing with the oversatuation of weightclasses. No ****ing exceptions in 8, 10 or 12 round fights.

Boxing fans are a bunch of ****ing pathetic hypocrites.

Manny has more than 2 catchweights numpty. He also holds the catchweight title. Will it be on the line vs Rios?

As a Mayweather fan that has fully expected this fight next the 152 is bs, honestly we all know he wasn't going to get credit if he schools this kid either way but even if your gonna get 0 credit don't give em even more fuel to the fire.

Being real unless he moves to 160 nobodies beating Mayweather, I made a comparison in another thread to Michael Jordan in his later years, the whole point of these last fight's are strictly to see what the finals stat line is gonna be.

the only reason Mayweather-Alvarez is a big fight is because he's "p4p #10" Lineal Champ at 154
the only reason an Alexander is a big fight is because he's IBF Champ unifying 147.
the only reason a fight against Gracia-Matthysee winner is big because they'd be undisputed at 140.

None of those guy's could realistically beat him the only reason there important is because the final stat line. He'd be unified and undisputed in two divisions 147-154 and have beaten the best fighter in 2 of his surrounding weight classes 140-154.

You're right, and it's not like Smoak is not aware of all of that. The thread is too good to spoil with old rehashed stuff, some of the quotes you found are comedy gold

To be honest, considering what he said about Cotto being comfortable, fact he has won 2 belts at 154, fact he's criticised catchweights and fact he said it was his intention to DEFEND the WBA 154 belt - then it's hard to excuse the catchweight

In terms of the size difference between both though, I do think the catchweight is fair in that respect, as long as it doesn't kill Canelo to make that weight - but fact is it's a division Floyd is not new to and has proclaimed himself the best in...

It shows Floyd's true colours in a sense also and that can't be denied
