    if mayweather was the michael jordon of boxing, why does he even need the catchweight.
    He beats him anyway.

    Suger Ray Leonard is the Michael Jordon of Boxing! :deal

    Wait, so let me get this right: the difference (in making it ok) between Pac's catchweights and Mayweather's catchweights, is that Roach admits he wants to gain advantages whereas Mayweather doesn't?

    :lol::rofl

    Catchweights have been around forever, and have been used by greats in the past. The recent hatred for it only occurred because people wanted to find any excuse to hate on Pac.

    He's making Canelo come down 2lb - if an understrength Canelo somehow manages to beat Floyd this does not look good. Floyd losing to what is basically a drained fighter...

    Which specific quotes do you have a problem with. I can reword them, if you have an issue with the accuracy.

    In an era of less weight classes, I'd have less of a problem with it. You can't ***** about having too many established weight classes, but then advocate catchweights.

    No. I was saying why some people took little digs at Manny or shall I say his legion of fans and gave an example. Most trainers don't come out and say **** the way Roach does. He would clearly say we won't to drain them and make them work harder and take a little out of them. This weight or no fight. Now if you read my other post you will see that I have no problem with either guy having a catchweight with a bigger man. :deal

    Assuming Canelo would be drained is speculation.

    Everybody's playing some sort of a stream-of-consciousness-threads game in the general, apparently :conf

    Either that or there's some new rule that says every poster most voice their individual opinion about the Mayweather-Canelo catchweight, or else be banned.

    Arent you just sinking to their level by doing this?

    By turning around and saying "Well Floyd uses catchweigts too!"
    You're just discrediting BOTH Floyd and Manny.

    Fights between guys at different divisions are often fought at catchweights.

    I just wish ALL fsans realised this and stopped getting so hung up on it.

    I said Pac has more than 2 catch weight fights, nothing to do with Mayweather.

    Now, can you answer the question?
