Joe is too slick. He would make Marciano miss all night and school him to wide UD.

No, it's not probable. Joe would not be able to stay away 12. But let these n00bs dream on.

Nothing mythical about it, check out Matthews obituaries the bout took place at RAF St Athan air base in 1943.

So when people in Wales hear Marciano this, Attell that and Roy Jones Jnr and Bernard Hopkins the other they think 'oh aye', when the likes Matthews [a rugby player], Driscoll and Calzaghe taught them a lesson or too, not to mention the boxers Wilde and Welsh beat, believe in the man not the hype.

Yep, and know you've been educated about something that may or may not have happened but is meaningless none the less.

I told a poster that asked me the question the answer, its i'm doing the educating.

Marciano was overhyped, a bloke much smaller than Marciano literally walked in off the street and had the better of him, no ordinary bloke i admit but its still evidence that Marciano was not all he was made out to be by the Americans, he never ever had a pro fight outside his home country.

Lol, "its I'm doing the educating"?

And since when is an obituary a credible source?

Not obituary, obituaries as in multiple, as in from multiple different sources, you can check out his rugby teams history if you like or wiki or written books, there are sources everywhere, Marciano ran into a legend that he couldn't beat, even if Matthews own game was not primarily boxing, Matthews clearly kept his interest in boxing as he was a doctor for the boxing authorities at one point, that is why a lot of people in Wales don't buy all this Marciano nonsense, Wales is the home of great boxers and the Welsh know a good boxer when they see one.

Multiple obituaries? Obituaries from more than one person talking about this historical event between a full grown man and a still wet behind the ears kid who had yet to even have an amateur fight? AMAZING!!! And VERY credible! :rofl

Men are fully grown at 20 and 23 years of age, Marciano wasn't good enough when faced up against a Welshman, simple as that.

We don't even know if he fought a Welshman other than these supposed obituaries that mention it and Mathews rugby team. Such credible sources.....and Rocky still had yet to have an amateur fight.

Stop making an ass of yourself. Other Welshmen have been PM'ing me and they're embarrassed and ashamed of you.
