First off his previous fight he looked like absolute **** vs Clottey. So comparing that weigh in doesn't really help the cause. 2nd I didn't say that the 2 pds weakened him. But his performance in the ring wasn't that great and he didn't look as strong as he normally does so of course ppl will allude to the catch weight as the reason. I always felt it was lack of a real trainer at the time, the savage beating he took from Margo, and that he choose to stay lean vs Pac trying to match his speed.

Cotto lost because he has lead feet, limited reflexes, and doesn't have great hand speed. The usual type of fighters Pac was fighting during his run.

Its not even comparable though, Mayweather is 36yrs old.

Canelo's management team sucks for letting it happen. Canelo should pull a Floyd and come in two pounds over the limit and pay a fine.

Man negotiations must have been a ***** to get Mayweather to even agree to 152. Im suprise its even happening. But this silly idea that Alverez was the one suggest going down in weight is ridiculous and anyone who entertains it is just trying to make Mayweather look good

I don't have a hobby. According to you, the only hobby worthy of anything is licking Floyd's ******* all day. ****, if your father could see you taking it up the ass from a fighter without even being payed. At least when your father did it, he asked for the money up front.

Give it up man. You just bashed Cotto to hell, yet he was Floyd's toughest fight in years. How great and strong had Cotto looked at 154? He had a catch weight with a 1 eyed Margarito. He gave Mayweather a tough fight. Then he got thoroughly beat by Austin Trout. Just admit that you have your head to far up Floyds ass to call him out on this. It's ok.

I don't think it's coincidence that we hear about the Showtime PPV numbers and then Mayweather taking this fight. I think Showtime definitely put May's feet to the fire due to all that money they lost for his Guerrero fight.

While I would prefer if the fight was at 154, Id rather Mayweather make the fight and be called a hypocrite then stand by his principals but refuse the fight at 154 and demand the fight be at 147.

If this is the string you guys feel the need to hold on to since you can't cry about him making the fight that the fans want to see, or him fighting the best. So be it.

Get your head out of Floyd's ass. I'm sure your found the fact that Pacquiao won a title at 154lbs at a 150lb catch weight as a joke. But now, since it's Floyd "I don't drain fighters" Mayweather fighting a unification bout at a catch weight you won't/can't admit the irony of it all.

I call it like I see it, your a clown who thought that Mayweather would never fight Canelo and put all you eggs in that basket and now that the fight is made have o back track for something else to complain about. You care more about Mayweather being a hypocrite then the biggest fight in boxing being made.

Cotto was under the best condition of his career under Pedro Diaz. Trout is a young big skilled JMW, no shame in losing to him.

If I really wanted to go at you and this thread though I wouldn't need to talk about asking Cotto to cut 2 pds. I would just talk about how Mosley was the #1 WW and was ready and available for the fight but got turned down because he was to tough. That's all I would need to say.

    Haters gon' hate.

Not Floyd's fault Canelo said he'd take on Floyd at 150. Those were Canelo's words and Floyd used it against him.

But regardless fight is signed, both boxers are happy, so what is there to complain about.

That was said in 2011. 2 years ago. So when Floyd had promised Manny a 50/50 split shouldn't he have stuck by that 2 years later. Keep on spinning everything around *****s. It's good for a laugh
