Why did Mayweather retire instead of rematching ODLH??

    Why did Mr. Money May retire and denied Oscar a rematch?

    Was it his "No risk of losing" mentality?

    Money was the reason the second fight happened. Some believe that Floyd didn't want a rematch because Floyd Sr would have trained Oscar in the second fight.

    With obvious hindsite that was DLH's last hurrah, but at the time Floyd was'nt so sure he would win the re-match. Floyd will only fight an opponant that he is convinced he can beat. He took Ricky hatton in a heartbeat & then fled the scene again when re-match D-Day approached.

    What would be the point of the rematch?

    Mayweather would have beat the **** out of Oskie again

    He had already beat him and Oscar was not giving Floyd what he wanted money wise in the rematch

    The fact that Oscar got a split decision despite being beaten decisively would make any fighter weary about taking a rematch.

    Same reason the Trinidad rematch didn't happen.

    Oscar doesn't share his slice of the pie.

    Can't really blame him considering he always was the A side in his fights, although lack of a rematch was disappointing (especially with Trinidad), he fought far too many top competitors for me to hold it against him.
