To be honest he should have made the fight at '54, he had to know that he would get flack for a catchweight especially after all the **** about wanting Cotto to be comfortable, now if he goes on to win we have to hear **** about how Canelo was drained, 2 pounds makes it that much more difficult to make weight but at the end of the day he will rehydrate pretty much the same...

I doubt the weight will be an issue in the fight but this dude has opened himself up to all kinds of criticism...

You are correct, But dont you think in a sense they sort of have a right to call out Mayweather fans on it? I am not saying make a billion threads about it but in reality Floyd fans have long bragged about how Floyd always faces fighters at the weight they are comfortable at... and how Manny is such a cheat/Coward for insisting on catch weights.

I mean in reality that wouldnt be them bitching it would be them playing the game thats been run on them....

My concern isnt about who asked for what or how this fight ended up at 152 my whole point to this is those who are concerned that Alvarez will be drained need not be concerned with that considering he has been in the gym for a month now with three months left to go he has plenty of time not only to make the weight but to draw up the right game plan

    Good post, Bazooka.

We deserve some ball busting, no doubt, but the extent that some are taking it to is quite frankly shocking even as a poster here for many years. Hypocrisy is everywhere and every fighter shows it from time-to-time so enough already FFS. Especially from *******s when Pacquiao's last 9 fights have had some sort of weight issue aside from Clottey.

Yes, Mayweather is full of **** and yes, Mayweather is the ****ing man for taking this fight.

Bazooka anticipates Floyd getting caught and brutally stopped against the ropes.

It's actually refreshing to have long time posters here showing support for a Mayweather opponent and actually believing that they can win.

Should make it fun around here in the weeks leading up to the fight.

I would love to see that but this fight goes one of two ways, DLH vs May like fight chess match.

    Or

Canelo Trout type fight, I just think if Floyd gets stopped no matter what type of fight this turns out to be it isnt going to be due to getting caught with a single shot.

if it happens its going to be due to Canelo wearing Floyd down with Body shots using his size and using a good defense as he did with Trout, by then I think the 36 year old should fade a bit late in this fight and thats where the stoppage happens.

But then again Floyd can win this I aint saying he cant win this either I just have a hard time believing that at 36 Floyd will be able to hang with this youngster who has a style that is similar to Cottos of which IMO Cotto pushed Floyd to the edge....

I honestly believe Canelo offered it just to make the fight happen, you really cant blame Floyd for taking that offer if it was presented to him..

    It's a tainted fight now

Floyd had the opportunity to prove to his critics that he's a legit P4P king and not a cherrypicking opportunistic wuss right here and he blew it

I dont even have an issue with the catchweight, like its been said before Mayweather and his fans have given Pac so much **** for doing that. So they look like ****ing hypocrites now that Floyd did it
