But that was not the reason, the reason was that Oscar still wanted the Lion's share of the split, despite the 2.4M PPV buys being half because of Mayweather too. FMJ didn't like this and fought Ricky Hatton instead. Floyd was asking DLH for 50-50. I liked that he told him to F off, Oscar went on to duck Margarito and get pummeled by Pacquiao.

Exactly. Oscar couldnt hit Floyd in the ass. Floyd slipped , ducked, and blocked most of Oscars punches the whole fight. Did what he wanted , when he wanted. Oscar also ran out of gas. I dont think Oscar wanted a rematch.
People were pissed about the rematch. Nobody wanted it. Floyd was getting shredded in the media. So he retired. Nothing to do with money or LOLLLL fear. Floyd was tired of the sport and had top rekindle his passion.

:yep Common sense. You can never trust judges, and after that I wouldn't want to rematch him unless I'm guaranteed enough in case I get robbed just to make it a trilogy. Also, why didn't he go back to 154 after instead of 147? I believe he's more comfortable at 147 and will only take a fight at a higher weight if it's huge money. And Oscar wasn't trying to give him the big money after beating him.. Kind of same with Marquez... Yeah he can beat Pac's ass again, but why take the risk if you're not being properly compensated for it? He knows he won't get a decision, so pay me what I want or fight someone else.
Umm because he said he was retiring. The only reason he didnt retire immediately because he was deliberating on cashing out in another Oscar rematch. AFter the word got out everyone was livid. He then said **** it and retired for damn near 2 years.
