World class resumes

  1. I am sick of hearing world class boxers have their resumes ripped apartFroch
    Calzaghe
    Mayweather
    Pacquiao
    Klitschkos

All of the above are outstanding champions, anyone accusing them of ducking fighters or being a coward is an idiot,k2 don't even have good competition so what can they do

Someone tell me who has a world class resume

    Please no negatives

I would class world class as fighters that have won world titles in recent times or are capable of winning a world title, and I would class a world class resume as having 5+ wins against world class fighters throughout there career and have only lost at top level.

I would actually say Klitscko doesn't have a world class resume. How many A & B level fighters are on his resume? Haye, Chagaev, Peter & Byrd and thats pushing it for me.

Dawson has wins over Hopkins twice, Johnson twice, Tarver twice, Adameck & Diaconou.

Hopkins has wins over Cloud, Pascal twice & Pavlik, Tarver, De La Hoya, Trinidad, Homes, Johnson

Froch has faced Kessler , Bute, Johnson, Abraham, Dirrell, Taylor, Magee.

Martinez has wins over Chavez Jnr, Williams twice , Pavlik, Cintron

Cotto has wins over Clottey, Mosley, Judah, Mallignaggi, Torress, Bailey,

Mayweather has faced Guererro, Cotto, Ortiz, Mosley, Marquez, Hatton, De La Hoya, Baldomir, Judah, Gatti, Castillo twice, Coralles, Augustas, Manfredy & Hernadez

Pacquiao has Bradley, Marquez, Clottey, Hatton, De La Hoya, Diaz, Barerra twice, Morales twice

Marquez has Pacquiao, Katsidis, Diaz, Casamayor, Barerra, Salido

Donaire has wins over Arce, Mathebula, Nishioka, Montiel, Darchinyan

  4. Off the top of my head I thought this

    Marquez and pacquiao

So are we counting losses as having a good resume?

  6. And people slate mayweather
    Ridiculous

Donaire is building up quite a body of work,I also think a great resume includes fights lost competitively at a high level so for example frochs 2 losses don't bother me at all in fact the opposite it just proves how tough his run has been

    So elite level resume
    Marquez
    Pacquiao
    Hopkins
    Mayweather

They appear to be the daddies no matter what the trolls say

And a lower level but still world class come
    Cotto
    Froch
    Donaire
    Dawson
    Martinez

Calzaghe how does he sit he certainly beat a number of ex world champs so has to be up there judging by that way of thinking

  7. Thought it would be interesting ( for me) to put Calzaghe against hatton by robs theory of a world class resume has to include wins over a world champion or a top contender,so by my reckoning its

    Calzaghe-

    Jones jnr
    Hopkins
    Kessler
    Lacy
    Mitchell
    Brewer
    Woodhall
    Reid
    Eubank

    And debatable bika Sheika

    Hatton-
    Malignaggi
    Castillo
    Urango
    Maussa
    Tszyu
    Tackie
    Phillips
    Collazo

Add the fact Ricky went in with the top 2 p4p at their peaks and hattons isn't as weak as is often portrayed

Calzaghe - Hopkins, Kessler, Bika, Lacy, Mitchell, Brewer, Ried, Eubank.

Promlem is fighters like Ward & Rigondeux suffer because they haven't faced enough guys, but they convincingly beat people on the list.

Yes but theirs no stand out name on there. I don't think IBHOF should be all about resume anyway. Entertainment is the key for me and Hammed brought that in abundance.
