I could explain to you why you have the impression that American don't get sarcasm & irony if you would like? Because you are wrong. Does it really matter? Its a boxing term more than anything else. You clearly were not being sarcastic because of the 2nd sentence!
I'll tell you who doesn't have one, Broner, despite the fact Golden Boy have tried to build him as the next greatest thing since moist fanny & the muppets have bought into the hype. I can't wait till he steps up & gets exposed.
I hate the fact some people put so much prestige on a ring champion. I genuinely am praying for the day Broner fights someone not hand picked. If he fought Matthysse I'd be masturbating while watching it, mostly to the thought of De La Hoya crying in his tutu , but also knowing that **** is going to get his fake face smashed in.
http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=480399 let me know your thoughts on these mate.
Résumé (get it right Robert) in relation to a fighters record has only appeared in this section over the past year or so, its an affectation, and frankly a bit cringeworthy
I'm with ice on the resume saying. Here is a thread from the general in which the thread starter also uses the word resume. http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=480497 Do you really want to be associated with that man?
Of course I don't want you to explain you plum, I know exactly what it is I just don't ****ing like it
I started this thread and I should have said record I have been brainwashed into resume I admit and I apologise It is a gay word
Ok....if you insist on me explaining it to you. I really didn't want to but you were bugging me on here and via PM as well. In return I would like you to post a photo of your fit misses. The impression of British people that is portrayed to the world is quite a serious one. The Royal Family, Houses of Parliament, British Legal system, stiff upper lip, Simon Cowell!! Therefore the impression of British people is that we are extremely serious and don't joke. We think the same way about the Germans. If you have any German friends and you break the language barrier you will know that. Americans get sarcasm and irony. Watch an episode of Curb your enthusiasm, Seinfeld, The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy etc. even Friends! They just don't get it when a British stranger makes those kind of jokes.
