I thought he was chatting **** last week when the young Eastern European HW was absolutely destroying Holmes and all he could do was criticise him. It was actually a masterclass but according to the commentary was sloppy and Holmes was at fault for not picking up on Bejenarus mistakes. At the clash of heads was somehow his fault and he had form for this? Utter bollix imo.
He embarrasses himself and the sport on a regular basis. He is a very poor broadcaster and hasn't done anything worth noting when it comes to training in the past decade.
First let's just say atlas is one thousand times better at broadcasting, training, and anything boxing related more than you. Second, he does not really want to train and is mostly just broadcasting.
What Teddy has going for him is he LOVES the sport He lives & breathes boxing. If ever there was a man to be boxing commissioner its Teddy Atlas. Sure he can be a bit egotistical but what I like about him is he calls the suspect officials & isn't afraid to castigate them for some of their horrendous decisions. He's right Judges & all officials should be hauled up in front of a commission & explain how they scored the fight. Trouble is most of the judges would be out of a job especially in Vegas
This! I don't know how anyone thinks they know more about boxing than Teddy. The guy lives, eats, and breaths boxing, as someone mentioned. He's one of my favorite commentators next to Paulie "Magic Man" Malignaggi.
He does know his boxing, but as has been said, he's still a moron in general, his analogies are painful to listen to
Malignaggi lost me when he was licking Trouts balls during the Canelo fight, it did kind of remind me of Teddy actually
man that dude knows and loves boxing. he is the most passionate about boxing out of any boxing pundit. Teddy's passion shines through in every fight he covers and his game plans are solid which is odd because he can't predict worth **** hahaha. Teddy's great, wish he was on HBO or Showtime.
No they aren't. He has admitted in the past to purposely picking the underdog in the majority of his picks. A great example in recent years is he picked Pacquiao over De La Hoya and Rigondeaux over Donaire. He just likes the thought of upsets, so he goes for the underdog usually. But he gives an explanation in doing so. Otherwise, he has terrible picks and they are on purpose. What I like about his bad picks is that he actually finds ways to explain why he picked who he picked, he breaks down the fight technically and how the underdog can win. But all in all, he just likes going against the grain.
