I don't see why Matthysse would be a half assed one.

Like I said, should he beat Garcia impressively, he is arguably undefeated, and will have done more then any Mayweather opponent in the last couple years. And besides Canelo, is the most physically dangerous opponent Floyd would have fought since ?

If Khan goes up and beats Alexander, he's getting the Floyd fight. I think Showtime is going to look at Matthysse's lack of money bringing fame and get flashbacks of May/Guerrero.

I'd rather Matthysse go up in weight before trying to tackle on Floyd too soon regardless. We don't know how Matthysse will do at 147lbs. He's already been on record saying he's most comfortable at 140 lbs. Would be cool to see Matthysse fight against the Broner/Malignaggi winner. It will net him so many fans if he sparks Broner.

Yup, Matthysse vs Broner at 147 would be the perfect set up to Mayweather vs Matthysse.

Only problem is Id be surprised if they allowed Broner to fight Lucas. But it would set up a fight with Mayweather perfectly, and by then I think the Matthysse hype train will be big and loud enough that a Mayweather fight could do decent numbers.
