Martin sparred Ricky not long ago and got nose damage and a perforated ear hope hes ok,ear damage can be a **** keeps coming back
You dont have a clue what was paid, more importantly it's none of you business. dean is a excellent matchmaker, unfortunately he can't please boxers/coaches all the time and generally is the man to tell them the good as well as bad news so a difficult job. Yes I've had disagreements with him but I totally respect the guy who's always been sound with me.:good
A shame to see a lad from the West Mids lose in a fight of this magnitude, but he gave it his best. What I will say is I'd never heard of Ammeth Diaz before reading this thread but chucked a 20 on the bloke by KO after reading it, thanks lads :thumbsup
Gethin fighting for a world title would have been blasphemy justice was served,I mean how does beating Ben Murphy get you a title eliminator?
All credit to Gethin. He stuck at it in the early rounds.Reminded me a bit of the way Burns did against Gonzalez, but obviously without the success as he's not the same class of boxer.Had never heard of Diaz before, same with Gonzalez, but just because we Brits don't know them doesnt mean they're not class.Tried his utmost the lad,can be proud of himself.
I do agree with you, but I've seen Powell hold his tongue countless times till the fighter is getting off his stool, as Skills says Sims did. Trouble is the advice coming from the coach is often so incompetent and so uninspiring in its delivery that Powell can't help himself and has to chime in. I realise he shouldn't. I've never heard any bad advice from him either, think he's an excellent reader of a fight.
That's news to me. Hardly surprising though, the lad never listened to what he was being told to do anyway. Might as well just go to Boxercise, knock the **** out of some numpty holding the pads and then fight without a cornerman, would save him a few quid if he just wants to do what he wants to do.
:rofl Can imagine it ''Ronnie we need a word pal.''. Ronnie just nods. ''I ain't happy with things Ron. I think it's best you leave''. Ronnie just nods and picks up bag and leaves.
Pretty much it. Seems like a nice kid but he's about as bright as an eclipse. In and out of the ring.
