Heard mcguigan is tryin to sign a few of the wsb irish lads to add to his stable so he can put them on carls unfercards. Could be good for irish boxing to have the likes of DOJ and Willie MC and Paddy Barnws turn over . Hope they do it would be great.

Why does Ireland not submit 2 teams to international competitions? Surely it would make sense to send an NI team and a ROI team so as there is more chance of medals and more of the High Performance lads get to fight in major competitions.

Wales, Scotland and England are sending separate teams to Minsk instead of one GB Team. So there are 18 British lads across the 10 divisions.

Ireland would easily have the depth to send 15+ people to tournaments like the Euros and the Worlds

Saying it purely from a boxing point of view, no politics whatsoever. I think it's great that an NI team is sent to the Commonwealth Games and they dominate the medals table. Obviously 1 team for the Olympics but for the smaller (relatively) tournaments would 2 Irish teams not be a good thing?

If Ireland (as a whole) could send 2 boxers in a weight class I'd be in favour of it. However our country has endured enough partition, it's a no from me.
