    horrible pink-**** thread.

because canelito is going to lose, and in all likelihood lose badly, you have alvarez fans all bent out of shape about it.

****ing two undefeated fighters unifying belts which fight fans are clamoring for and since canelo will hold few advantages we have alvarez fans ready to jump off a bridge.

The only reason he's an idiot is because he believes he can beat Mayweather.

There's nothing idiotic about an elite fighter wanting to challenge himself against a fellow elite, IMO.

Nothing but respect for Canelo for taking a major risk at this stage of his career.

A fight with Miguel Cotto will still do big numbers, regardless of the outcome of this fight.

Not sure when boxing became a sport where youre done after a single loss, let alone against mayweather (given that you aren't ruined from the fight, which wont be the case here).

This is proven wrong time, and time, and time again.

Cotto vs Canelo is a big fight, regardless of what happens against Mayweather.

Of course not. Its a smart smart move. If he somehow manage to beat floyd, he becomes the most popular boxer on the planet. If he loses, he lost to the best and theres no shame in that. Either way its a good learning experience

I do think he should have fought Cotto and let this one simmer a while longer, if both parties wanted to make more money on the fight. But apparently they think they will be making enough already. As far as Alvarez getting more experience before fighting Floyd... there is nobody out there that is going to prepare him to beat Floyd. He has as good a chance now as any... young, in his prime, super confident and coming off a big win.
