I take my hat off to this great former champion and now world class trainer. He will forever be known for his lethal power in both hands, deceptive speed, and the look of determination that put fear in to all that faced him. He is a man of high boxing IQ and is now graciously passing thia invaluable knowledge on to the future world champs. If not for some slips to his knee that were counted as knockdowns and Enzo Calzaghe selfishly throwing that white towel in so his son would have a future opponent. Gary had him rihht where he wanted him, and was going in for e KO before the terrible towel came in. It is for this reason, I propose Gary come back and take out Sergio Martinez and take his rightful place in the pantheon of boxing history. This time perhaps a reputable trainer ans no Frank ****** and we have a new ball game. Bless the Rocket. Always

Lockett actually throws harder shots than Lockett, but Frochs chin is cast iron. I wonder what Dwyer's take on this fight would be

Sturm ducks way too many fighters the bum. The Rocket comes out of retirement and blast Sturm outta there

This fight was supposed to happen three years ago. I'm wondering if it will ever even happen now. Boxing sucks sometimes.

Lockett's legend has grown since these posts, so thought this would be a good time to reopen the debate.

Failed miserably against Pavlik.Seems to us in North America he was a good domestic fighter but not worthy of a world class fighter status.
