My thread opener stated that I had been speaking to people who had been inquiring as to whether I was aware of any movements on Lee Selby. They hadn't heard anything either.
Considering all Lee got fed for around 10-11 months was a TTG he must feel like he's at Jimmy Spices right now. 2 fights in space of a few months i think Lee's just fine. He will get a step up after this fight i'd like to imagine..

TBH mate he boxed just over a month ago and is out again soon. The past he spent a year doing nothing but sparring least he's fighting now and should progress to European title fight in a few months time if successful in Bolton. Corey McConnell was a fight made at a few weeks notice and is a decent boxer. Wouldn't say it's a **** fight, Same level as the Akine fight.
If Dib as a champion will take a FNFs purse, money shouldn't be an issue. Good test for Selby and he'll need to keep his concentration against him.
I presume it won't be a British title fight as hoped. It's hard to match Selby over here now people are wary of fighting him it's a little like Price with British title it's wait till he goes then we take it. I think it be another fight to get back in front of cameras, earning and set him up for European title fight or bigger fight in September time.
Yep Selby is in an akward spot at the mo repuation/profile wise. I know he was brought in stupidly low under the radar before Matchroom got hold of him by the Sanigars. He really should've been built up more prior to this. Just hope Team Selby don't get impatient now that the expectations have risen, although he was expecting things to have moved quicker than this it's fair to say given the first fight was a no mark.
I think Sanigar is patient, He told Lee your not world class yet. He's been around a long time as we know and i think considering he only signed over 2 and half months ago they will be content if Matchroom bring them a world title eliminator, ranking type fight or European title fight after the Bolton bill. The main thing is he's now getting fights because 2012 wasn't good.
