Too early to judge but the fact that we are having this discussion shows how much potential this 22 year old. yes 22 year old has. This kid will be a PPV legend as well when its all said and done. Something no other figter showed at this age.

Doesn't have the talent to beat elite competition. Decent handspeed. Above average power. No motor and no skills on the back foot. He's not comfortable all the way out or all the way in. Just from mid range. A plodder. A very very solid B level fighter. Absolutely nothing wrong with being that.

    HoF? sure. Why not?

    ATG? Hell no.

"C Class - Hyped now but will be bought back to earth soon (Jermain Taylor)"

    This is really disturbing.

A fighter who fought 3 close fights with two of the best Middleweights of the 2000s in their prime, is considered a "Hyped up C class fighter who was brought down to Earth." Really? Even if you thought he lost all 3 fights, all 3 of them were too close to say who dominated.

Not to mention I had him winning the rematch against Kelly Pavlik, and I wasn't the only one who had Taylor winning the rematch, New York Daily News had him winning, Dan Rafael scored it 114-114 for a Draw.

This is really shameful to call Taylor a C class fighter who got exposed. No wonder Boxing, for most part, sucks and is not popular. Its very own "fans" show no respect to its fighters.

If he had stamina. He'd be close HOF! but I can see him looking like a Pinata! once the gas goes, Floyd is going to go to work on this kid.

22yo canelo that has not reach his prime yet and we are already talking about this...
only time will tell, but to me right now he is arguably the best p4p under 23... so he is going on the right direction...

Alvarez has some subtle skills that people overlook. For example he has multiple ways to defend against a jab

he is a 22 yo kid who had only 20 amateur fights and is considered the most legit challenge to the p4p #1. this kid has showed steady improvement in every fight and has yet to show any signs of stagnating at any level. there is no reason to believe he has even started to scratch the limits of his potential. when he starts to plateu, then you can claim he is destined to be less than hof material and sound like you know what youre talkin about.
sure there have been fighters who showed this type of potential and never will or never did earn a guaranteed ticket to the hof, but for every one of those, there are 10 who lived up to the promise. the smart money should be on canelo going far in this sport.

He's world class but his work rate concerns me,he's going to have to work much harder and set a higher pace or hel be picked off by Floyd Mayweather all night.
