Im no-one to give advises, but great first fight.

I liked how you calmly waited out his crazy haymakers in the beginning and started to pick your shots. Your guard is responsible; nice and tight. I recommend keeping it that way until you get more experience; then you'll be able to loosen up and relax abit.

Footwork needs more working obviously. More controlled sparring and skipropes will fix that im sure. You have a decent jab, but you seem to step in with every single one of them at a set rhythm, making it a little easy to time. (I sort of have the same problem). The right hand loops too often imo, but you should perfect that jab first. My 2cents: focus on training your jab and the footwork that comes with it for your next fight. Once the jab is solid the rest will follow im sure.

Overall, great work, it takes alot to get in there and actually have a fight.

Btw, where the **** are the headgears ???

Didn't let it bother you when he came out swinging and staying composed is a good thing. Learn to punch when the other guy is punching, as opposed to covering up, letting him finish, then throwing your punches. That gives him time to cover up. Your opponent was wide open, chin in the air while he was punching. Learn to roll and punch back.
Develope a left hook- a great countering weapon. You sometimes wave your right hand instead of turning on it. When you had him at the end, you should have brought one up, an uppercut, with either hand.
Good fight though. For a first time, I was pretty impressed with how you rode out his attack without getting flustered and without throwing wildly to fight back.

It was really good entertainment! You gave to the public all they wanted.

    Well, technically, good points are
    1) you stayed calm while letting the guy gas out
    2) worked behind jab, kept hands high, chin low
    3) once you established response to the jab, you catched the guy with over guards shots a lot
    4) showed some ring movements

I would say you controlled the fight and was winning on point before the stoppage. I like you punches, lots of things to be improved, but for the first fight not bad at all.

What are your plan? How old are you?

Nice first effort. As noted by everyone, very composed.

Also I loved your killer instinct when you had him at the end, the way you jumped in and finished the job. Didn't look like you got too sloppy with your technique there, either, which a lot of beginners do.

    Well done.

    A couple of things:

    1) You have everything going your way and at the end of the first round you switch southpaw for no good reason. And you got clocked for it. Let that be a lesson -- stick to what you do well, and for goodness sake don't fix what isn't broken. If you're doing well, continue to do what's working unless and until your opponent makes you change things up.

    2) Beautiful jab, but I'd like to see you double it more often. I see you going 1 ... 1 ... 1. How about trying 1.1, or 1.12 (by which I mean getting the right hand off a bit sooner, while the jab is still obscuring his vision).

    3) A little bit more lateral movement would be a step up in your game, slide to the side when he comes forward.

Again, good effort. Looked like you were in good shape, too. Keep it up, and keep listening to your coach because he's doing well to have you so well prepared for your first match.
