He is a very limited trainer and expert , he is very cunning and makes freinds with the right people to get him gigs and makes freinds with the writers to write good things about him.

He did not have the heart to fight himself (in the ring) and faked back injurys so he did not have to fight in the goldern gloves and Gus knew it.

He was a crap trainer and every boxer he had went down hill after he started training them and when they left him some improved, he is a conman that always cons his way to a job or makes freinds with people that can get him in good positions.

    He is a conman.

Could not make it as a boxer, so he faked injury.

COuld not make it as a trainer, so he beacame a comentaor.

As a comentator he now does not need to prove anything , like a boxer or a trainer, he can just sit ring side and say what ever he like and if he is wrong he will just flip and say that he was right all along.

He is a very cunning man , yells at Michael Moorer and says he has no heart , if he loses, Teddy was right and if he wins it was beause Teddy gave him a rev up.he always looks to put himself in a situation where he can win either way.

of course he knows boxing. He has lived it for what 40 years? Sometimes guys like Teddy have lived it so much and been around the small aspects of boxing so much, that they lose the ability to be able to differentiate the small fights from the big ones or the lesser fighters from the greater ones.
He can show the fans how to counter a southpaw, but if the southpaw was Hagler and the guy fighting him is Tony Sibson then it does not apply. Sometimes I think he puts tactic and strategy over simple things like who is faster and that clouds his opinion. But as for knowing boxing. He does. And I don't see how anyone cannot see him as a credit to the sport. He is. I like his enthusiam for boxing.

Teddy knows plenty about Boxing he just has an agenda most of the time. He is much better than Kellerman that is for sure not even sure how that clown has a job.

Somebody should tell Teddy sometimes he hurts the sport more often than he thinks when he opens his mouth. I can't remember the last time he has said something positive about the sport of boxing, the guy hates on everything from Martinez trainer wearing shades, the ring making noises and not set up properly. Or this fight is meaningless, why is this fight not happening. Let the fans do the crying and you stick to commentating to the fights.

Yes, this is exactly the truth. Great analysis of Teddy, especially the Moorer situation. He's a con man and a self promoter.

Agreed, he helps facilitate the hater fan culture that is boxing #1 problem. People complain about boxers not fighting one another, its because they know if they lose, they'll get derided much worse by today's boxing fans than if they're undefeated against lesser opposition.
