Chavez by decision. He has a better defense coming forward than anybody Floyd has fought, which would make it more difficult for Floyd to employ his usual outside game, and on the inside, Chavez had a great trick of smothering a right hand with his left forearm and positioning his opponents for receiving body shots and being unable to escape the ropes. There would definitely be rounds Floyd makes good use of his jab to the body and moves around the ring well, stopping to set up a right hand or left hook in an attempt to disrupt Chavez's rhythm, but he'd have to be very careful not to stay in range for long, as Chavez's timing with lead shots and counters was just as good as Floyd's, even if his speed wasn't. I'd favor Chavez to make it his fight and land the harder punches in a majority of rounds in a close, competitive decision.

That shoulder roll would spell Chavez's doom. If he had THAT much trouble with Whitaker, think about what Floyd woulda done to him. Especially a 135 Floyd with great punching power.

Floyd, although not as elusive as Whitaker, hits way harder and possesses defense that Chavez has never seen before.

Chavez would be cut up, battered, beaten to a pulp. Don't think Mayweather has enough punching power to get him out of there, but Chavez would be completely outmatched here.

8-4, 7-5 kinda win. Decently close, but clear for Mayweather
