I guess you have a different definition of exciting than the norm. The Gatti/Mayweather fight was 1. A brilliant execution of top ATG skills 2. Drama before/after the fight 3. A demolishing of a HOF.
Assholes and opinions... "Fun" is subjective and this thread can never be a proper discussion, but will remain a collection of opinions. Debating conclusions made on different premises is futile. I prefer SRL but as my arguments can't be projected on to others I see no point in sharing these - especially since doing so seemingly results in one getting insulted. It seems like you're not really interested in hearing the opinions of your peers, but solely in presenting your own view and forcing this view on to others.
Actually, MVC, his definition of exciting is much more the norm. Back and forth affairs have drama. One sided beatings, don't. Drama = Entertainment. Simply put, if Gatti was just as systematically beaten down by a fighter other than Mayweather, not even you would find it exciting.
Mayweather & Leonard are exciting in different ways. The difference is, Mayweather is exciting to the lovers of the sport of boxing who can appreciate what he pulls off in the ring - Leonard however was able to excite the casuals with his style.
