How many true welterweights did Floyd fight? Floyd always fought guys that were blown up. Roy fought guys much bigger than him his whole career. He was knocking out full blown light heavy weights. Mayweather is fighting guys such as Guerrero,Marquez,Judah,Hatton,Cotto who also came up from lighter weights.

But than again we have to be fair to Floyd , hes no true welterweight himself , the majority of his career was at 130 pounds .

I voted for Roy , but i have to disagree with you . Toney is hall of fame worthy , but Not ATG . Calzaghe is not even hall of fame worthy , let alone ATG status .

    It was a good post.

Toney's inconsistency makes it hard to class him as a ATG. I would place him a borderline atg, but he is definately a Hofer

Calzaghe' s resume lacks the depth to make him a ATG.

RJJ has lower low points when it comes to his opponents but when he did test he done really well - his wins over Hopkins and Toney plus going up to HW are better wins than anything Floyd has on his resume imho.

I am sorry but this has to go to Roy Jones. Prime Hopkins, prime undefeated Toney, end of story. If Floyd would have fought Pacman and Sergio and won them, then we can talk about this.

Btw I am a ****ing huge Pretty Boy fan.

Floyd struggled against a 34yr Oscar who was solid but obviously not in prime & battered cotto.Roy beat young hopkins & skooled a prime toney is this a serious question.Floyd never fought b-hop/Toney forget a Roy jones jr.

Undefeated, but not prime. Hatton was a beast at Light Welterweight. He only had 2 fights for the welterweight title, Collazo and FMJ.

When he moved up to welter, he wasn't the same fighter. He struggled against Collazo and barely won a UD. (one judge had it 114-113, the other two 115-112)

Hatton was a better fighter at the 140 pound limit. He even looked impressive when he went back down to light welter after losing to Mayweather, and beat Lazcano and Malignaggi. Hatton's win over Malignaggi is pretty impressive looking back now considering what Malignaggi has done since the Khan fight.
