how do you figure that he would outbox Benn when Hearns would be pushed onto the back foot from the start and couldn't box off the back foot. he was too goofy and open on the back foot and would be easier to hit. i'd like to read your explanation on your pick.
Hearns couldn't jab off the back foot which is where he'll be in a Benn fight. could you explain further? :think
Benn would ****ing destroy Hearns. it's an easy pick to make. Hearns couldn't fight properly on the back foot which is tough luck when fighting Nigel. :deal
Hearns could outbox him, but I see Benn being to tough and powerful. He's a natural super middle and was there for most of his career. Didnt Benn KO Iran Barkley in a round or 2? Ben wins by KO because of a size and power advantage. Hearns wasn't at his best at middle either.
Tommy's jab was a weapon & the right hand that came behind it was the bomb.......would be a first round war similar to the Barkley/Benn fight but Hearns gets it.
Hearns only had destructive power @ 147/154 . @ 160 he was just a good puncher . With that being said , Hearns TKO Benn in 8 .
is it just me who thinks this post is a little ****ed up If Hearns could avoid engaging with Benn, he's good enough to grab a clear decision, however Benn's chances increase drastically if Tommy wants to go war. He'd have to be careful though. Tommy has enough power to take Benn out as well.
Are you kidding me? Hearns shook Hagler up. The same Hagler that is widely regarded to have one of the best chins of all time ...
:good it would be like target practice for that laser-like jab and right hook of Marvin's. Hagler is at his best when a fighter comes to him, giving him the ability to counter. Duran showed that moving away and countering Marvin was the best way to beat Hagler, although he didn't quite manage the victory being 25 pounds above his best weight.
