Possibly one of the worst mismatches in the history of the heavyweight division. Charles wins every minute of every round, in a horribly one-sided affair.
Charles was much more skilled, quicker, and has proven to have enough punching power to kill a man. The only advantage Tex has is size, which isn't enough to win against a "great" fighter. I don't think Ezzard would gas out in a 12 round matchup.
Charles scores a shutout win. Cobb's tough enough to go the distance, mind you. Charles posts something like 12-3,if it's a 15 rounder,on all three cards.
Charles would feint him into knots. He would be fifteen steps ahead the entire bout. Its not like Cobb was heavy handed or that Charles had stamina problems, so there's really no fathomable way for Cobb to win. Chuvalo would be a more interesting fight for Charles. Yes, Chuvalo would be lopsidedly outpointed, but his body attack would make for a handful of interesting moments.
There no doubt Chuvalo was leagues better than Cobb. Its a real shame George is only remembered as a punching bag. He was a legitimate contender, as evidenced by his wins over Mike Dejohn, Doug Jones (when people were running scared from Jones), Cleveland Williams, Mando Ramos, and of course Jerry Quarry. And there no way in hell Cobb would lose a one point decision to Floyd Patterson in a fight of the year.
