    Round 10

Klimov is putting the jab together with the uppercut while trotting leftward. Molina follows with a lackluster jab. Slow heavy overhand rights by Molina, cutting down through the air but never touching Klimov. Body shots by Molina, none of them especially meaty. Klimov ducks and backpedals, scoring with overhand rights as Molina hovers on top of him.

    10-9 Klimov

    97-93 Klimov

Well, not lead vocals or anything. :yep I probably should have clarified. He is part of the chorus.

When it goes "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" - that's his voice. (one of 'em)

Sweet. Neither main event tonight featured a robbery. (Nick Brinson took a well-earned upset over Miguel Cotto's protege Jorge Melendez on the Cotto promoted event in NYC on Showtime...and here Klimov gets a fair shake against the Californian on the West Coast)

    WAR BOXING! :ibutt

Wow.. Klimov is really light punching..
Surprisingly they saw him as winner.
Really did thought they would just give it to the guy that looks to be the harder puncher.

    IB Funfact:

(FAO: anyone who viewed both cards tonight)

The last professional knockout for Klimov - currently sitting on a 50% rate as of tonight - came against Jose Alejandro "Soma" Rodriguez a year ago.

Rodriguez fought on the ShoBox co-feature, giving another Miguel Cotto prospect named Jeffrey Fontanez all he could handle.

Besides Klimov, only three men have stopped Rodriguez: recent Ricky Burns challenger Jose "Chelo" Gonzalez, Mickey Bey Jr., and none other than John Molina. All are heavy handed...and Rodriguez went the distance with some other decent opponents (Eloy Perez, Jose Roman, Rances Barthelemy, Abner Cotto, Raymundo Beltran)

So Klimov perhaps isn't as feather-fisted as it would seem watching him launch the kitchen sink at usually sturdy Molina. (ignore the DeMarco blowout)

    Definitely not a banger, though.

    Boxing is weird.

Great fight!!! I scored the fight for Klimov, 5-4-1 rounds, 96-95 points, scoring the 1st round even, and giving Molina rounds 4, 5, 6, and 8. Klimov won his rounds by being consistently busier and landing more clean punches. Molina's workrate was usually lesser, and though his punches were heavier, he landed too few of them, and frankly Klimov only seemed affected by them in Round 4 anyway. Props to Klimov for taking this tough fight without the cut in his previous fight completely healing, as Atlas said. Props also to the Facebook viewers, who had it too wide (9-1 !!!), but saw correctly what was happening, and I think they helped Atlas recognize what Klimov was accomplishing. Finally, I was very impressed by these judges, the 97-93 card was a little wide, but all 3 cards were very respectable, they gave Klimov a fair shake!!! Far too many judges around the world are quick to rob fighters with the style Klimov has, but these judges came through. Great night!!!

I just did a quick search, and have apparently sprinkled in dozens over the years. :yep

I can't vouch for my sobriety when each of them were posted, or how fun they are. :think

Hey IB, I thought I saw you had over 100K posts at one point? I suppose the archives are culled periodically but I didn't think post counts would be affected.

The board no longer has a Lounge off-topic sub-forum, as you may have noticed. 100% of the content was deleted, so lots of people took big hits on their post count.

As of this Monday, I had 124,000 posts - but with the loss of the Lounge (~26,000) and the blanking & reset of Suggestions & Requests (~2,000) I was knocked down to about 95,250.
