Even though it is mainly Dawsons fault, how quickly people forget Ward saying "He says he wants to fight at 168, well, we'll hold him to that"
Chad changed his mind, but Ward wasn't having none of it and since Dawson proposed it in the post-fight interview, he didn't want to ***** too much about it no doubt.

Some people haven't got a clue. Dawson called him out and said he would box him at 168. Ward has been comfortable at 168 and happy dominating the division. He will move to 175 when he is ready! Not when Dawson says. Dawsons wanted it and he got it. End of

it was Chads fault for taking the fight. HBO couldn't set anything up as he claims if he'd of stayed at 175. no one forced him to do it.

he's the only one to blame. he should just move on and focus on his career. it's happened now, so there is nothing he can do about it.

i see why Dawson is mad tho.. he feels like that was the only good opportunity presented to him and now that he looks back at it, it wasn't a good opportunity at all.

i agree ward wins at 175 and i am a big fan of ward.. but i do think that ward has to get out of his hometown and maybe fight some fighters a few pounds up and down.

he'd make more money b/c right now, andre ward is not that big of a draw.

Ward called Hopkins out at 175 lbs, yet no mention of fighting Chad Dawson there.

Dont think Ward has any plans of getting into a ring with Dawson at Dawson's weight!

It smells that SOB Ward will only fight in his hometown with his own personal referee and judges. Ward beat Kessler with headbutts, elbows, etc., but Ward won on an intentional illegal headbutt and should have been disqualified, but Ward's referee protected that illegal act. Watch the fight an see. Why was Ward the ONLY boxer who did not have to travel? The entire tournament smelled..............

    It's progress I suppose.
At least he's not blaming Scully now.If Chad feels hard done by, tonight is his chance to put things right by putting on a vintage performance getting the right blend of high output and determination like he used to before he became a "star"

You always have to take what Chad says with a pinch of salt. The other week he was saying that it was a big mistake to call Ward out at 168,now it's down to HBO.On 24/7,he told us all that he felt like he'd come home getting back with Scully, then he says that Ice is not on the level he needs.

Why not put on a great performance tonight and call Ward out at 175?
I'm sure there's a high school gym they could pack out for that one.

Sure, because Dawson is a major attraction who deserves to be pursued, right? The man beat Hopkins yet Hopkins got more attention that him after the fight. Fact is, he's beyond boring and frustrating to watch even for a hardcore fan like myself and I would never ever say that about any style in the sport except for Dawson. The man is active for 30 seconds per round and even if he has an opponent hurt he backs off and takes breathers. He's really a joke to watch. Dawson was so desperate that he made the move down otherwise no one cared to fight him. Only an hating imbecile would blame Ward in this particular topic.

No doubt Chad is being a ***** but most boxing fans know he was drained whether he asked for it or not. So...if Ward is a true badass he'd offer a rematch at 175. May not make a difference but since he's pretty much cleaned out 168...why not?

This is a good thread, but lets remember that 168 is an actual weight division called "Super Middleweight". Chad offered to come down to fight Ward. It's completely different then say Floyd vs Canelo, where Floyd demanded an obscure catch weight within a weight division, in a division where he holds a belt and those belts are on the line and recently fought at the 154 limit vs Cotto.

Lol I laughed so hard at this stupid post. Please tell me, what exactly is coming to Ward? Did you put a voodoo curse on him? Perhaps you're waiting for the day when RJJ suddenly morphs into his prime and knocks Ward out in the ring. Please hold your breath for that day.

    Groves at Super Middle
    Cleverly at Light Heavy

doesn't matter which weight Ward is at, one of these will give it to him.

    stay tuned.:yep
