Floyd/Canelo will be a BIG boxing event that turns out to be lackluster.

I found a good article about the Floyd/Canelo fight. What do you think? ***********.bestboxingbets.com/pound-for-pound-best-vs-each-other-part-1-mayweather-vs-alvarez/

Thank-you, I dont get all this "Gasnelo" ish.

Watch Canelo vs Lopez, watch Canelo vs Hatton and show me he gets tired.

He fought every round for those fights.

Canelo's strategic into slowing down and building back up to explode on you.

Ya'll taking it as gassing out.

Nice assessment. I'll be happy with a close and effective fight. This will show Canelo is nothing F with.

so he ran from 6 on but knocked trout the down and made him do the Bojangles dance in the 7th? and i'm 100% sure he wobbled him after the KD because I remember watching trouts legs afterwards. I actually now realize you might be saying he is going to run from the 6th on in the Floyd fight? if so floyd better hit him with some serious shots if thats the case.

You're usually a very good poster, but you sound like an idiot here.

If you don't like technical fights/fighters there's no need to try to call people who like that style "wimps who have never played sports." I think it's just the opposite. Those who have never boxed or played any collision sports watch on TV and think it's easy to just go out there and "Run and potshot like a *****."

I enjoy the technical aspect of the sport. The violence of KO's and brawls don't excite me, any more than watching excellent skill, defense, and the ability to implement a smart, patient gameplan. It doesn't make me a wimp. It means I have an appreciation for the actual sport of boxing, not just a lust for blood and violence that some people need in order overcompensate for being unathletic and weak.

My favorite fighter is Tommy Hearns by a long shot. Not just because he had the most lethal right hand ever at that weight... but because he had a deadly jab, great footwork, excellent timing, a good mix of body/head work, and to top it off, once he got you in any type of trouble, or caught you slipping, he could finish better than anyone. A real opportunist.

They should put the undercard as Matthysee v Garica, Mares v Catanellos, Santa Cruz v Terrazas.

    Winners fight each other :good

    EXACTLY!

He will outweigh Floyd by 20 pounds. Floyd has every right to get on his bike the entire fight. And Canelo has every right to chase him down and try to bully him.

Problem for Canelo is this: Floyd is not as weak and able to be bullied as a lot of know-nothing fanswould like to suggest. Once Canelo does cut off the ring, Floyd will have the strength and capability to tie him up and reset the action.

Advantage for Canelo: He is not as slow and plodding as other know-nothing fans suggest. Floyd will have his work cut out for him even when he is on the outside trying to score pot-shots.

Well come on that isn't much of a prediction.

Aren't all PBF fights big events that never live up to the hype. Of all the PBF fights I have seen I believe the most exciting one (PPV-wise) is the Cotto fight. I have watched all of PBF PPV fights. Even then that was nothing that would make a casual say WOW and want to join the sport.

I was contemplating going to the Canelo fight but once I saw JMM-Bradley announced a couple of weeks later I cancelled those plans and will be attending the JMM fight.
Its a big fight that will deliver.

The action of this fight will depend mainly on Canelo's performance.

Floyd is a reactionary who we all know will do his best to keep it safety first.
He will be in defensive mode for 12 rounds. The action of the fight will
be dictated by Canelo, so if he does not push fwd and force Floyd to fight
this will become another typical Floyd vs (fill in fighters name) chess match.

I'm looking fwd to this match mainly based the on ??? of what Canelo will be
    able to do vs FLoyd.

I thought FMJ vs DLH was exciting, as well as FMJ vs Hatton, and even Victor Ortiz until the end. The Cotto fight was okay, not bad but not great. The Guerrero fight was very disapointing, mainly beause of Guerrero's inibility to do anything.

Actually the wimp viewers are guys who act macho and have never been in the ring. Brawlers appeal to fans like you because it doesn't take any skill. Rock em sock em robots. You can brawl from grade school. Those who fight with craft master the sweet science.

I've been in the ring and I suck. I could handle brawlers cuz toughness I have. Skill I lacked and I couldn't dedicate years to it.

You're doing the same thing he is. You think these "brawlers" had no skills?

Those guys do have skills. Perhaps I should have thought more carefully what I wrote. I just get tired of fans who have probably never been in the ring discredit guys who take years to master their craft. How many Rigo "runner" and "boring" threads were there after he made Donaire look amateurish?

I rebuke the idea that this will be lack luster, it will be an intense chess match

He's gonna be running from 6 on against mayweather. Everyone who watched the trout fight knows he ran from 8 on. Floyd won't even need to hit canelo to gas him out. As soon as the bell rings mayweather will keep canelo off balance w his feints and be right outside of punching range. When canelo is getting hit and can't hit mayweAther panic will set in.
