If Floyd beats Canelo at 152, will Canelo still be undefeated?

147 isn't a ***** weight, that's the standard weight limit for welterweights. 154 isn't a ***** weight, that's the standard weight limit for light middleweights. 152 is a ***** weight because Floyd needed Canelo to fight at that weight or else he wouldn't fight Canelo.

There should be a clause in the contract that make it so Canelo can't re-hydrate? What!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Canelo shouldn't be able to come in the ring any higher then 154 lbs? You've gotta be freakin kidding me! The weight classes have to do with the weigh-in, not the weight of the fighter the day of the fight. That's why there are weigh-ins!! You have to make weight at the weigh-in, not the night of the fight!

You don't want Canelo to be able to rehydrate after the weigh-in? So he drains himself, so he's not at his best, right? :think This is the problem we have with Floyd. Is that he talks out of both sides of his mouth. He says one thing, criticizes Pac for doing getting Cotto at a catch weight, then turns around and does the same thing! Whether it's catch weights within a weight class, whether it's rehydration limits, whether it's not letting Canelo use 8 oz gloves, Catch Mayweather is showing himself to be willing to do anything he can to limit what Canelo can do on fight night. They are ***** moves by Floyd and you know it. He's scared of Canelo, plain and simple. He's trying to weaken Canelo politically and it's freaking BS. If he were a real man, he'd man up and fight at the weight class where he holds his 154 belt (like he did against Cotto), he wouldn't try to get any rehydration limits so Canelo couldn't be at his best, he wouldn't do anything to try to increase his chances of winning unfairly due to BS. he would fight Canelo "fair and square" like a real man.

That's not what he said against Cotto. He said that he considers Cotto an undefeated fighter because Marg cheated with loaded gloves and because Pacquiao drained Cotto down to a catch weight. Obviously the winner of this fight will remain undefeated. It was Floyd that said to Cotto about how Cotto is still undefeated because Pac drained him down to a catch weight. If Floyd has any integrity, then the same logic should apply to Canelo, after all, these are Mayweather's own words. Unless Floyd doesn't treat all of his opponents with the same amount of respect.

according to Floyd ebonics yes because Floyd drained him and Canelo didn't fight him at his best weight.

taken directly from Floyd himself in the face to face vs Cotto.

You sound like a man that was just sold the Brooklyn bridge. You didn't really think that Floyd would make a bad decision based on some macho bull**** did you?

What are your feeling regarding the Catch-Weight title fight between Manny and Cotto? :thinkPAC had only fought at 147 once, and while he decimated his first opponent, he obviously was NOT a real Welter Weight at that time.

Pac was obviously better at 140 where he was settling in. Miguel was obviously better at 147 where he was coming off a successful defense of his title. Do you think the same logic applies in this situation given the insane similarities?

Manny and Floyd both wanted their opponents to agree to a catch weight. In both cases they agree to a -2 lbs difference. In both cases they agree to putting up their titles. And even more....in both cases the BIGGER man shedding the 2 lbs had weighed in 1 lb shy of their division limit in their previous fights....Miguel weight 146 when he beat Josh and Canelo weight 153 when he beat Austin.

only a Flamin ***** ridin' Catchweather's jock strip like a magic carpet ride would say somethin like that. perhaps you'll be more comfortable, more at home at check hook. This is ESB, not ***** Catchweight City. Man up, unless you're scared that Canelo might knock your boy TFO.

oooooooooh scarrrrrrryyyyy...and fyi i can assure you i'm not a member at check hook, but nice try. i'm not a ******* either, typical false accusations of a flamin *****...like catch, you'll do or say anything to drain the competition, even if you have to resort to ***** tactics like catch weights, sayin the catch weight was canelo's idea. :good

it's all a guise because you don't got the balls to man up and fight your opponent straight up, "fair and square", like a real man. you're the best*. keep tucking your tail between your legs and ridin' Bitchweather's nuts like it's goin out of style. :hi:

I never said he shouldn't fight at 154lbs if he's defending the 154lb title, so calm down please. We both know Canelo re hydrating will be twice the 154lb limit. 16 maybe 18lbs heavier then the weigh in. He'll clearly have the advantage in weight over Floyd. Not saying Floyd still can't whip him, but the advantage none the less Canelo will have. The fight should be as even as possible to give neither guy the advantage. Floyd walks around at 147lbs and he fights at 147lbs, as well as defend at 147lbs. The rest of these guys weigh in at one weight and clearly fight at another come fight night, which I believe is B.S. A title at 154 should be fought at 154 not one 152, and damn sure not at 160, 165, 170 or anything in between. I'm taking neither side here, because both men are trying to gain the upper hand. It's just a matter of who's going to be able to dictate there terms and prevail over the other.
