    Awesome style too :D

If you want a hard hitting Japanese fighter then give a watch to Uchiyama...or Yamanaka

That's a rumor, by the way, about WSB bouts 'counting'. If any TV commentator repeated it, they were mistaken.

WSB bouts are NOT officially sanctioned pro bouts. They do NOT count on anyone's pro record, ever.

They are amateur bouts under pro-style rule sets (without headgear, 10-point must system, etc)

    Round 1

Kamegai is throwing rights to the body and forcing the jab up toward Perez's face. Perez draws him along moving in reverse and popping out his jab. 1-2 by Perez, catching Kamegai on the sides of the head as he ducks in and holds. Kamegai is lunging and missing as Perez backs up and pivots to set up.

    10-9 Perez

I'm not paying for fightfax records but know a number of people (think Teddy Atlas) have mentioned them counting and one fighter WAS announced with their WSB record. I know boxrec don't count count them but I'm unsure about Fightfax (who I refuses to really "count") but it's an interesting question as both are "for pay".

    Round 2

Kamegai is putting out the jab and dropping his head back, shielded partially by his chest. Perez is drilling the 1-2 into Kamegai's shock of wavy hair, finding him despite his meager efforts to stay offline. Kamegai is following Perez and sticking the jab, hitting Perez's gloves or nothing. BIG counter left hook by Perez squaring up and waiting in ambush for Kamegai. Combination to the head by Perez. Big doubled up left hook by Perez as Kamegai shells up and leans away. Clinch. Perez lands a blunted right hand on the throat of Kamegai and sweeps a left hook across his sideburns. Kamegai misses a right hand chasing Perez to the ropes. Hard left jab by Kamegai, and a hook. His best work of the night, but too little to salvage the 2nd.

    10-9 Perez

    20-18 Perez

Also something to note, Kamegai once stopped two men in the same fight!

uchiyama is a nice fighter, but why he isnt fighting at the international level? Why featherfists like ishida and ishimoto got a chance to fight champions.

Jesus Soto Karass is sitting at ringside, with his bambino in his lap, bobbing his head and enjoying the between-round music.

JSK, DPDL - they've got some of my fave under-the-radar warriors in attendance there.
