    He's the longest current reigning champion at 130, stopped Solis, Salgado and Miura...I'd say that was pretty ****ing impressive personally. He's likely to face Mirura next in a WBA/WBC unification bout.

    yes but WSB from their inception have always been understood to be an extension of the amateurs despite the similarities to pro boxing. It's run by the amateur organizing body, for chrissake! :lol:

    Kamegai is moving forward and taking uppercuts, bursting through his tightly clenched arms. Kamegai is trying to score with the right hand but either not reaching or getting ducked and countered. Perez looks to be losing steam from the pace of working a full nine minutes, but is still taking the play away from Kamegai and landing the better punches while moving well and denying him the pocket brawl he's sought from the start.

    Kamegai is barging forward, cloistered in tight behind his guard, eating uppercuts and carefully placed combos as Perez circles to his right and bends over to disrupt Kamegai's straight punching patterns. Perez is using a staccato style, landing hooks to the body or short couplets to the face before bending in and grinding against Kamegai or tying up briefly to halt the action.

    Kamegai is walking forward, throwing right hands at chest level, not finding his range. Perez is dancing back toward the ropes, bouncing off them, moving to his left, and firing short Uzi bursts of counter-punches which he can't seem to miss. Kamegai thrashes his right arm up over Perez's outstretched left but still can't get it all the way across to his target.
