Shame Lopez turned down the chance @ 144 - which seems like Lopez's ideal weight...

Maidana was spent by the time he got to khan. Keep in mind he hurt maidana with a mean body shot which i dont think he fully recovered from. Either khan's chin is weak or prescott's power is off the charts. Which is it?

 

Maidana has gotten a lot better since his fight with Khan and Khan wouldn't stand a snowballs chance in hell with him now. I also believe Lopez would knock his ass out. Khan's time has come and gone. Too many big dogs in the game. He needs to stay in the UK like Froch and be a big man in the B league.

 

Spent? he was smacking Khan from the first 60 seconds of the fight onwards, he landed two monster overhand rights in that round alone, and let's not forget, it's not just Lopez who couldn't take Maidanas shots, 31 out of his 34 victories couldn't, including "badass" Mexican Soto Karass who laughably tried to pick a fight with Maidana between rounds, and Maidana rightly laughed him off before spanking his uppity ass during the ACTUAL fight


but let's not kid ourselves here, Khans chin has always been weak, the Maidana fight was just a freak incident, Willie Limond had the guy chicken dancing ffs, and while Willie is a good fighter, he isn't a banger by any stretch

 

You mean the Maidana who lost a very controversial decision to Andreas Kotelnik who whipped Alexanders ass has gotten "a lot better" since his fight with Khan? B league? stop talking ****

 

Oh and this is the same Kotelnik who got his ass comprehensively whooped by Khan himself

 

I love how his best accomplishment is being the "NABF" champion

Maidana would have a chance in a rematch. bad match up for both fighters as the other can work on the weakness of the other.

I honestly believe Maidana knocks Khan out this time, Khan deserved his win in the first fight but he could get stopped this time. however i don't think the rematch ever takes place.

I believe the harsh punishment he took in the first maidana fight, some of the pederson fight and the Garcia KO have made his Punch Resistance even worse than before. Diaz had him shook a few times and i expected Khan to win every round before getting a TKO win.
