I think the real question is what Froch will do next. For all the hype the sense I get is that Team Froch would rather face Kessler in a rubber match anywhere or take a gamble against Hopkins than face Ward again.

The opportunity was there to fight Stevenson instead of Yusuf Mack as the mandatory. There was a reason Stevenson was avoided and Mack chosen.

I hear rumours of him being an unpleasant character outside of the ring. Is he?

Not really, the IBF gave him the chance of taking a voluntary over a mandatory. Any fighter would pick a voluntary over a mandatory when they're both unknown to the casual simply because they can pay them less.

If there's one fighter who doesn't duck it's Carl Froch. Put it this way if the IBF said you have to fight Stevenson or vacate the belt I'm certain he'd of fought him

I don't rate Stevenson at all, just because he can bang a bit doesn't mean he's a top fighter Dawson underestimated his power and got caught cold.Dont see Stevenson being champion for too long.

Also Stevenson had a fight planned for 12th October against Don George which was an IBF eliminator, so he'd have had 5 weeks to prepare for a world title fight and by then they obviously already had Mack. After Stevenson won that IBF eliminator fight he was mandatory for the belt and then Froch chose Kessler instead of Steveson (can't call that ducking)

They managed to keep it under lock and key until one of his opponents mentioned it, it's still fairly difficult to find it out about him on the internet

One impressive win doesn't make this guy a monster.Let's see what he does next.As for Bellew,he would have little to no chance.

From what i found out he pimped out and beat girls, some as young as 11, if they didnt do what he told them to he made them fight each other. I searched why he went to prision then read through various articles and online stuff about it but it wasnt easy to find out, otherwise i would have posted sources, sorry

    Nasty,nasty piece of ****

Let me tell you people something yet again: Stevenson's boxing ability is vastly underrated. So is his tactical prowess.

He would beat Bellew, Froch, Cleverly and any fighter at 168 - 175 not named Bernard Hopkins or Andre Ward.

Outside of those two, he'd have the toughest time against Bika.
