ccording to a report by Mike Coppinger, Mike Alvarado and Zab Judah have discussed a potential fight in October or November, but Judah is looking to return sooner than that, which could put the kibosh on the whole deal. Alvarado (34-1, 23 KO) is coming off of a career-best win over Brandon Rios on March 30, but injured his hand in that fight. Judah (42-8, 29 KO) had a relevance-extending performance in a tough loss to Danny Garcia on April 27 in Brooklyn, a fight that raised the veteran's profile if anything. If the fight were to happen, it's certainly an interesting matchup. Alvarado, 32, is hot property right now, but stylistically, the 35-year-old Judah could still give him fits. It's the sort of fight Judah should be looking for right now, in my view, as a win over Alvarado would give him a genuine case for another world title shot in the near future. For Alvarado, it's a chance to prove his win over Rios was no fluke. My guess would be that the fight won't happen, but if the money and all that is right, maybe Judah could be persuaded to wait a few months longer than he'd like to fight again. badlefthook .com
Would love if they made this fight! Very winnable for Zab, he should be rushing to make this fight happen.
