poor Brits. All they have is Calzaghe and Lennox Lewis. lol so sad. And ironically America has better fighters than them along with EVERY other division in its history. Tsk tsk tsk.
Hagler has a better resume and to me, that's what matters most. Hagler/Hearns will always be remembered as one of the greatest fights ever; can't say the same for any of Calzaghe's fights. Calzaghe should be remembered as one of the best of his generation but Hagler takes this one.
Joe dominated his division for years, just like Hagler. Only difference is that Joe never lost and moved up a division. Joe>Hag
There's no winning with brittards. It's literally like arguing with a 4 year old who is positive he's right.
Let me refine the question. Name 3 better ATGs beaten that are better than Eubank, RJJ and BHOP? Duran, blown up lightweight... Hearns, chinny, blown up welter. Who else we got here? Antuifermo? Minter? Mugabi lmao.. He has two wins against ATGs and they were wayyy out of their proper weights. And thr other time Hagler fought an ATG, SRL clearly beat Hagler...In a similar fashion that Super Joe would. So lets review. Super Joe 10 years on top, undefeated, better resume. Super Joe better
You're wasting your time with these Yanks son. They are too stupid to even know they're stupid. Rest safe in the knowledge of the old saying " You can put pigs in suits, but you will NEVER stop them grunting " They will cling like a two bob ***** to Haglers resume, because they just can't admit that everything Hagler had, Joe had in spades, then some. Hagler couldn't beat Joe on a Saturday morning if the Welshman had been on the beer the night before. Just not good enough.
He was Frank's fighter and Joe was his main man, not Reid. Joe also had his hands full with Rick Thornberry.
I think the Hopkins fight was a draw personally. Hop always struggled with movers. Taylor beat him more convincingly than Joe THREE years earlier. Eubank had 11 days notice to fight Joe, and he retired just two fights later. Roy was 9 weeks from 40, and he'd been brutally knocked out FOUR years EARLIER, and hadn't won at elite level for FIVE years! Also, lets not forget that in 2007, Joe said that a fight with Roy would be POINTLESS as he was shot, and early in 2008, he told reporters that he'd be disappointed if Roy was to be his last fight. :good
Calzaghe Ok. He always was a wussy BUT Name me a better heavyweight champion, since Ali , than Lennox Lewis ?? You cannot there isn't one There isn't a heavyweight today that would have a prayer against Lennox. That included the Klit sisters
Neither Calzaghe or Taylor ever legitimately beat B Hop. all 3 fights were gift decisions. One thing in his favor Taylor did give B Hop a rematch while Calzaghe ran for the hills
