Any New news On Laras gloves?

i didn't score the vanes fight. it was a terrible fight by two guys who don't like to fight. against molina, lara clearly lost.

either way, i didn't see this great boxer many people on here would have you believe.

 

Yeah, Lara was gassing out, but Angulo eyes were closing up rather quick as well. Not to mention the size of that swelling. Lara was very accurate with his shots... you know he was going to hit that eye more and might of caused Virgil Hunter to throw the towel. Angulo was taking too many hard shots just to get his harder shot in.

Angulo reacted bad to that shot, instead of turning his back he should of taken a knee.

 

right...his 2 golds and 1 silver at the world games/cup were all a fluke.

i thought he beat vanes. vanes is my boy too.

i didn't say lara is the cleanest fighter...he can be dirty, but i did see angulo use a few elbows against lara.

there's no shame in going life and death with angulo. he's a world class fighter. that angulo would have beat plenty of other guys at 154 saturday...including vanes who balked at fighting him in the past.

 

i didn't call it an ass whoopin. i had lara up 1 point at the time of the stoppage. everytime angulo dropped him lara got up and boxed his way back into the fight. both guys showed tremendous heart, grit and determination. the bout was close.

at the moment when angulo quit, lara landed 3 clean shots to his face...pretty much like he did everytime he threw at angulos face. i don't know that lara wouldn't have finished if angulo didn't quit. he seemed full of energy and was still moving well right before angulo turned his back.

if there was foul play with the gloves, we'd know about it by now.

it's hard to tell sometimes in here.

 

it's still very possible to catch a thumb in your eye with thumbless gloves. one of my fighters had a fractured eye socket and had triple vision for month because of it.

A thumb would fracture or sustain a joint injury before a facial bone broke.

 

The man wasn't thumbed, they showed the punch time and time again and there wasn't any thumbing involved. Hunter made and accusation of thumbing and that's the reason the gloves were taken. The accusation will be proven false and life will go on. Bottom line, Lara just cracked his dome.:yep

 

canelito threw a total of 431 punches against trout...his first legit jmw.

angulo was on pace to throw close to 900 if his face didn't get broken in.

whoever is comparing canelito to angulo is just stupid.

but then again, there are a lot of stupid people here.
