Would Trout and Canelo had gone life and death with a slow punching bag like Angulo??

The answer is yes. They would've. Only Lara could survive that onslaught and if Angulo was good enough to hit almighty Erislandy, he would've dismantled the rest of 154.

If you're good enough to knock down a P4P superstar twice, that's all the evidence I need to prove how amazing that P4P superstar is for overcoming it. That also makes you better than other top fighters who, you know, win their toughest fights.

    Makes perfect sense.

People want to talk about his loss to Kirkland.. In which he knocked Kirkland down and punched himself out, and then him being in prison, BUT look at the shape Angulo was in! Look at his abs, his chest, dude was more cut than anybody in the 154 division right now.
He constantly came forward, and Lara was landing bombs! Trout doesn't have as much punching power as Lara, and Cotto definitely isn't as strong/ hits as hard as Angulo.. So yeah, Trout IMO would struggle much like Lara. Canelo couldn't hurt Mosley and although he has explosiveness his power is nowhere near what people make it out to be.. If he couldn't put Angulo down, he has known stamina issues and Angulo would be grinding him down late. Not saying either lose to Angulo, I'm sure quite a few of the first rounds wouldn't go in favor of Angulo, but yeah they would absolutely struggle.

Say what you will... Margarito is better than Angulo, etc, but end of the day if somebody doesn't put Angulo down, with the conditioning he obviously has, no easy match for anybody.

BTW: Angulo did look terrible against Cintron, but it's been years ago and I beleive he's definitely improved.

no. the only reason angulo has superhuman powers now, is because a whole lot of posters invested a whole lot of time and writing into telling the world how great lara is and how easily he would beat angulo. geting dropped from slow ass punches does not fit into their expert pre fight analysis, so it is imperative that a reason that better aligns with their analysis, be found. angulo is now in the best shape of his life and learned chavez like footwork and would tear through anyone not named lara.

Triangle theory at its best, the "fans" critizacing Lara haven't mention that they were expecting a very boring fight, they avoiding the fact that Angulo was ripped and weighted 175 lbs the night of the fight, his best shape ever, the ring was small which benefits a brawler like him and Maidana, behind were his troubles and the third fight with a new trainer, I'll say that he was very prepared for this fight, in the other hand Ginger barely got pass a feather fisted Trout, yes Lara can't compete with neither...

The guy was cutting off the ring great, lara couldnt keep Angulo off him. If he had head movment and better defense, with his chin, stamina and power he'd give canelo and trout hell.

Labeling a classy fighter like Angulo a "slow punching bag" is just ******ed.

So the only reason Lara was able to beat a shot Williams was because he had trouble against slick south paws am I right??
