His most staunch critics. He's 44-0 and has faced the top fighters through 6 divisions, is the highest paid athlete in sports, has received just about every boxing accolade and still can't defeat his most staunch critics.
Zab Judah acatully won real rounds from Mayweather. De La Hoya had good molments in the first and Cotto throughout, but not enough to really win rounds. Mosley hurt Mayweather in the second, but Mayweather domanated the rest of the fight. Castillo rughed Mayweather up, but the scoring punches were landed by Mayweather.
Castillo defeated Floyd. Punch statistics and commentators during this fight agree on that. Look at the final commentators score. Castillo was rubbed.
I think Judah had the best chance of beating Floyd - till he lost concentration. If Oscar kept jabbing he'd of been a better chance. None of the others looked like beating Floyd, Castillo left his run far too late. Can't win a fight after dropping the first half of it.
I say the first Castillo fight, even though I had Floyd edging it in the end and not the way the official judges scored it. Other than that before I go one to name another fight behind it I'd say that Mayweather's toughest opponent in the last 9-10 years are his jealous hatin critics, on forums, streets and beyond. Most who want to see him lose soooo bad and also most of whom don't know a damn thing about boxing.
