FAO Sky Boxing Mgt - Hearn has failed Sky Boxing Fans

The frequency and standard of boxing shown on Sky since the solo Hearn deal has significantly declined.

Clear examples are as follows:

1. No boxing on at all most weekends. :bbb
2. Cartoon boxing known as Prizefighter is no interest to Boxing Fans.
3. Boring fights have become the norm (eg The recent two Tony Bellew stonkers.)
4. Hearn then has the cheek to fleece Sky customers by asking PPV money for an average Froch v Kessler fight. No doubt he will try the same with future David Haye fights but boxing fans are no mugs and remember his previous PPV farces.

The Sky monopoly on sport depends on the loyalty of subscribers and the loyalty will only remain by producing quality sport demanded by subscribers.

We used to have regular boxing on Sky and it is about time the weekly Friday fight night slot returned with a multi-promoter deal.

Eddie Hearn has significantly failed Sky Subscribers and action is urgently needed before these subscribers cancel Sky and move to BT.

bellew chilemba both fights were on a card with crolla v matthews and froch v kessler, if you felt those fights were boring, give up watching boxing

To say kessler v froch was average, i despair.

SKY want a number of prizefighter dates a year, again sky fail sky.

I agree about the Friday Fight night as it usd to show some great domestic dust ups and it helped to get to know upcoming prospects...dont know how much those shows cost to televise but I definately see that as a loss.

 

Sky's problem. I'm happy with quality of Eddie's bills. You will always get a few poor ones in a season. But consistently good shows will come IMHO.

 

I'd go along with this, I think the quality has been good so far this year, minus the Wembley card and shitty prizefighter.

 

I'm going to write a letter to Sky complaining as soon as there is a 0-0 football draw shown live.

I prefer what we get now compared to the old ffn.ocationaly their would be a great domestic fight but more often than not they failed to deliver and some ffns were shocking. The old ffn format you would only have one live fight then some taped stuff, now we get 3 or 4 live fights and even more with the red button so I'm happy enough with what they are doing the shows are bigger and look much better on tv and not a single half empty leisure centre in sight

 

For a 20 fight deal over 12 months, it sure doesn't feel like it. If they are enforcing the off season where there miss a month or so then surely that should average a fight card every 2 weeks?!

 

i certainly dont miss fights in leisure centres. Hearn is doing a good job on Sky.

 

I'm sure with a weekend gap of boxing sky's output of Premier league football, PGA tour golf, F1, Rugby, Champion League is ****ing useless. GET A GRIP, it's a ****ing sports channel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If they had a sub channel called Sky boxing, I'd be pissed off.

 

Ive never understood the boxing "season". Has it always been that way? Its not like tennis or football where the players need a genuine rest after 10/11 months of playing constantly. Boxers dont fight every week and there should be enough fights/fighters to continue all year round. Is it solely a British thing?

The problem for me is that Eddie seems to be moving the crap fighters along quickly and the ones you really want to see progress are pissing about having constant tune up fights.
