Hughie Fury has just started him pro boxing career. He will fight some bums, they step it up sooner than anyone thinks. He was a Jr. Amateur Champion, good skills, straight punches, good foot work, good defense, power, he would beat Wilder now......................

That would be a big step up.

Darren Corbett, fat and past it or not, is hardly a "pathetic" opponent for a ****ing 18 year old novice, he's better than most of Deontay Wilders double digit opponents

and lets not forget, Corbett always has the power and a well timed overhand right (Darrens pet punch) could test Hughs chin, that's big Tysons achilles punch after all

After july he would have had 7 fights in 4 months in 5 different countries. Thats incredible really.

His opponents so far have been pretty poor even for a novice pro but this is a good step up.

As long as he keeps busy in his first 18 months and learns inside the gym then it doesnt really matter who he fights.

At only 18 its great to see.

One thing i really like to see is promoters letting their prospects loose on other shows to keep them busy. It doesnt happen enough for me.

For Hughie to be fighting a guy with a winning record at this stage is good. Not sure how bad Corbett is at this stage but he should allow Hughie to get a few rounds in.

His first six opponents have 103 losses.

    Wilders had 24.

    Not even close.

If he wants to say he's going to beat MIKE Tyson's record, he can quit hiding behind your skirt with your "he's a mere lad of 18" excuses.

Baby Huey can choose: he can be a poor little boy who's just now getting his whiskers or he can boast that he's in Mike Tyson's class, not both.

You misunderstood what the man said. He said that Corbett was better than most of Wilder's opponents.

Corbett has a recent draw against a 3-11 fighter and lost to a 7-12 guy.

Better than Baby Huey has been fighting, but not reallly what I'd call impressive.

He let himself go over the last few years sure, but he always has that power

Don't tell me this is a bad opponent for an 18 year old

Corbett is a good opponent for Hughie, not someone they should take lightly.
