Hello all just want to clear up all the talk about Rocky. Rocky Jerkic has been training with me since Christmas . Rocky is a good friend and would be the best prospect I have seen . He is finally fighting 6th July in perth, No one in Australia will fight Rocky no one. If im wrong and there is someone please contact me . Rocky will fight at 69 kg and he will fight anyone . With a bit of luck he will be a word champion .
..go the Rock!..plenty of fighters float around until they find a home and a trainer that they got chemistry with..I'm hopein' this is the move that will see him realise his potential..
Good to see something positive written about Rocky for a change. Let's know who his opponent is in Perth. Is there any chance Ippy will find an opponent for him on the Gold Coast in August ? Looks like a good card. Rocky would certainly help to pull a big crowd. :good
The bottom line is Rocky had 100 + plus fights as an amateur. Dropping some decisions along the way is no big deal. When Rocky went to Sydney George Reno called Rocky's Redlands trainer Bernie McFadden to chew the fat. No doubt they discussed Rocky's amateur record and career. Anyone who knows Rocky well would tell you he is neither full of himself or delusional. I would say he is very focussed with a good dose of self belief.
I haven't seen Arnel Tinampay fight but his record suggests he must be a tough rooster. The 5'7" Filo hasn't been stopped in 36 fights dropping points decisions to Daniel Dawson, Jarrod Fletcher, Robbie Bryant and Dennis Hogan in more recent times. He must be on some pretty serious protein shakes to get anywhere near the middleweight limit. I'm thinking Rocky might just spoil that record in July.
